I had to visit a dentist for an emergency procedure without any insurance coverage, I was quoted around $1200, while waiting in the waiting room I was introduced to Affordable Family Dental Plan, I was surprised to know that using such plans can offer immediate savings to non covered patients ranging between 25% and 65% from the dentist customary fees, in my case I was able to save $647 which is not really that bad. I hope I knew about this before, I would have been able to prevent more costly dental work from happening only by getting affordable preventative care on time.

After losing my dental coverage from my job when I retired, I had to find some type of coverage that my dentist would take. Luckily I found afhsco.com (Affordable Family Health Services Dental Plan). While all care is out-of-pocket the discount allows for a negotiated cost that is generally not available without a group sponsored plan. So far I've been with AFHS dental Plan for more than 3 years and I believe it was a good choice.
