My experience with lewis appliance was absolutely a nightmare and horrible, therefore I want to warn anyone that if you live in Athens Tennessee not purchase any used appliances from Lewis Appliances , the Owner of this dishonest business named Mr Lewis sold me a bad washing machine when Mr Lewis delivered the washer to me and my roommates house the motor burnt out, he replaced the motor and then the washer started leaking all over the floor then he put a used replacement tub in the washer and now it will not go into spin cycle mode so I called him today and he came back out to the house and accused me of overloading the washer and it is not overloaded I only had 2 sheets in it and 2 pillowcases. Mr Lewis of Lewis Appliances then stormed out of my house and told me he will not be honoring the 30 day written warranty receipt that he had me sign, he said he will not fix the washer and make things right. I am very upset and saddened that I have been taken advantage of by a dishonest local business owner. I have repeatedly tried calling Mr Lewis 25 times today to get him to do the right thing and on one instance when I called he had his wife answer the phone for him at his business when I tried talking to her about her husband selling me a faulty washer for $150 he piped in and told his wife dont talk to that crazy retarded man he belongs in a loony bin then hung the phone up on me

VERY SCARY Husband/Wife TEAM OF CON-ARTISTS! 2 year old Refrigerator stopped cooling. Came in with multi-meter - never used. Lewis kept pushing on front panel light (which of course does nothing). When I told him that buttons for refrigerator and freezer are below the light, he became upset and said that I was interfering with his thought process...then he continued to push on the light. He then pulled the refrigerator further out from the wall (It was already pulled out with 4 feet of room) and pulled so hard, he pulled the plug straight out and it sparked. He then removed one screw from the back panel (pocketed the screw), but never pulled the panel fully off or used the multi-meter. Then he told the wife to look up the price of the main control board "and the others". He said that there are at least three control boards and there may be as many as five. (If it was, in fact, the main control board, neither the front light display nor the fan would be running, which they are). So their con is to diagnose nothing and replace everything. Wife came back in about 10 minutes from car and told us that we better be sitting down. The cost was close to $600 for parts, plus labor, plus $85 for the current "service call". I refused. I said I would pay him $25 for his gas, but he did NOTHING here. Lewis told us that he keeps a gun under the seat of his car and that he's not afraid to use it. I demanded they leave my property immediately. They went out to their truck, but stayed. I had to call the police. Next night when it was dark, I turned on the porch light and headed out. I heard two shots that came from the road towards the house. I ran back in and shut the lights. Coincidence? Police still say it's a "civil" matter. This couple are lunatic Con-Artists and are DANGEROUS. Call Plaza- turns out the ONE $50 part is still under warranty!
