Pictured above are frequent volunteers and shelter visitors Dan and Katie Sheridan with puppies Howard and Bellina. Katie is a great volunteer with wisdom and kindness beyond her 5 years of age. So many people come to the Aspen Animal Shelter to walk and play with the dogs and to spend time with our cats and kittens. We are so appreciative of their efforts. The socialization that they receive from the volunteers has been essential to helping our animals get adopted. Some of our dogs and cats have been very fearful and withdrawn when they arrive due to either neglect or abuse. The loving handling and interaction that they have received from our staff and volunteers have made them more trusting of people and allowed them to blossom into great companion animals. From left to right: Golden Retriever Silo Bunchman, Belgian Shepherd mix Molly Connell, Border Collie Rye King, Dalmatian Dana Towbin, Cockapoo Rye Berkus, Husky mix Libby Upchurch and Basset Hound Neta Candano. Watch your pets in action anytime with our Doggie Day Care Cam. Access on the right side of our web pages. Please go to Aspen Boarding Kennel for more information. Photo by Bland Nesbit
