Economy Plumbing Heating and Air, Inc was started in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1941 by William J. McGurran as a plumbing and hot water repair company call the "MOBILE PLUMBING SHOP." In the early years the business was idled due to material shortages during World Was II, and Bill was forced to go to the West Coast and work in Defense Contracting. His wife and family stayed behind in Grand Forks and when the war was over in 1945, Bill returned home.
