I just have to take a moment to review just how amazing my experience with Lara's was. I bought some of my prom and homecoming dresses with them when I was in high school, and the staff was always so helpful and went above and beyond for me to have a fun time at my dances. Well, now I'm engaged, and after I went a few places that I wasn't particularly impressed with, I went to Lara's and had the BEST consultants ever! I went on a day that they weren't very busy, so both of the consultants, Lindsay and Summer, that were working that day gave me their full, undivided attention and found me the PERFECT dress, shoes, veil, and jewelry! When I came back to get my bridesmaids from them, I got a consultant named Liz and she was equally as fantastic as the first two I had! She handled all of my hectic bridal party and kept everyone calm and happy until we all finally agreed on the dress. I'm not sure there's anyone that works there that isn't willing to do whatever's necessary to make sure my wedding went exactly to plan and stress free. Can't wait to go and shop with my mom for her dress! 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone who asks :)

I recently purchased my daughters prom dress here... The staff was amazing and very helpful... This is her senior year so since I cant do more dress shopping I will highly recommend to other friends that we know.... thank you

Me & my friends came in & had an awful experience. They had a sale & I understand they were busy but all of the girls working were rude, & acted like they did not have time for us. I asked for a specific dress & they claimed it would be too big on me, & wouldn't even let me try it on, or try to find one similar in my size. No one would help us pull dresses, they only helped the people they knew. I don't think I'll ever be coming back, I'll continue to go to Wilma's where they are a lot nicer, & have better hospitality.

I would not recommend! horrible service and a VERY RUDE owner! I got my prom dress there, and will never make that mistake again! it was completely falling apart, everything was falling off of it, and one of the girls told me to carry around nail glue TP PROM to glue my diamonds back on... they worked on it for months and three weeks before refused to let me see my dress.. one of the girls even wrote a note to the seamstress saying i wanted to see my dress on Tuesday at 3:30 and when i got there her or my dress was no where to be found. not happy with this experience AT ALL!!!!! I will never shop there ever again.. they wouldn't give me a discount or anything!! i really don't know how they are still in business! Their prices are to high and they're very rude and take their time on everything. Waste of time and money.

This store was my only source of wedding stress. I was talked into buying "off the rack" because I thought I was getting a good deal (until I did more comparison shopping). There were repairs needed to the dress, but we were assured that they would be done easily and the dress would be cleaned. When we went to check on the progress we saw that the repairs had been done with silver beads (the other beads on the dress were white)! We had to have them redo the repairs (this took 2 months). We were always told the seamstress was sick and did not come in and we would be called when the work was done. We were never called. Finally we picked up the dress without getting any fittings done (it was not cleaned). We just wanted to get it away from these people as soon as possible and take it to a professional business to get the alterations done. Also, I noticed a bead missing from my jewelry when I got them home. When this was mentioned, we were basically told that I must have somehow done this even though I have never worn them. Beware of the "no returns or exchanges" sign behind the counter. There is a reason it is there. Aside from these things we were told that the owner was not there when we had seen her go in minutes before. When I purchased the dress the owner was gossiping with one of the sales staff about another girl's "lawyer getting involved" with another sale (I guess I should have taken that as a warning and left).

Let's see where to begin - horrible customer service, prices are way too high for fake jewelry, no retrurns, no management, and I am not exaggerating on that one literally the old hag (to put it nicely) told me there is no manager to take up customer concerns with), they screwed up my order beyond recognition so I paid a ridicukous amount of money for a dress that their seamstress ruined and then was told I would have to pay for a new dress to replace the one they ruined. This is only scratching the surface. If you want a real nightmare for your wedding then go to Lara's and see how miserable you will be treated!

Terrible service! The ladies that work in the shop are rude and do not know what they are doing! Quoted different prices on dresses and dates when they would arrive. If you want to have more stress added to your wedding plans, then shop at Lara's in Ashland.
