J.A. Johnson Paving Company is a family owned and operated asphalt paving company that has been serving the Chicago area for over fifty years. We specialize in commercial and municipal projects and can work as either a general contractor or as a subcontractor. We are located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and offer services throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Please see our "Projects" Section for a list of references. Our full time staff includes estimators, site superintendents, dispatch and clerical personnel. Our field workforce consists of 50 to 60 union laborers ( Local 1006 ), operating engineers ( Local 150 ) and truck drivers ( Local 731 ). We also employ 3 full time mechanics to service and maintain our fleet of vehicles and construction equipment. Johnson Paving is a member of the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association and is pre-qualified to bid on IDOT projects.
