Worst experience I have ever had with a rental company. After the landlord refused to fix some water damage (caused by structural damaged, not caused by me) I had to get the city health inspectors in here to look at my unit, and they told me it was actually illegal. Then the landlord kept my entire deposit and tried to charge me for the month I didn't stay, since I moved out when the building inspectors told me it was unsafe.

Absolutely, hands-down the worst company to rent through. My first experience with them was discouraging. I went into the office during business hours to grab an application, waited in the lobby for 20 minutes but had to leave before anyone paid me any mind. My boyfriend called the next day to make sure Lou would be in the office around 2:00 PM so he could pick up an application. When he got there, the doors were locked! On the third day, I go in around 10:00 AM, but again, no one was there. Not wanting to lose the house due to his incompetence, I emailed another realtor hoping she'd help. Took her a full 48 hours to get back to me only to tell me that they were letting the landlord pick the tenants and that the house was rented.

I was foolish enough to think that a year later they'd be better. While they greatly improved their response time, they were now very rude and extremely biased against students. My boyfriend and I make well over 3x the rent but they still required us to each have a co-signer along with their credit reports and verified income. We are in our mid-20's with professional jobs and were insulted by this obvious stereotyping.

If you're a student, don't bother, it's not worth the hassle. If you have kids, prepare to be discriminated against. If you're not a single, 30+ year old male, just keep looking.
