Just 1 hour from Sarasota, less than 2 hours from Tampa/St. Pete, 2 hours from Orlando, and about 3 hours from Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale, the Outpost is easily reached by all. Canoe Outpost-Peace River offers leisure, scenic relaxing paddle trips on Florida’s most popular State Paddle Trail. Experience wildlife viewing, birding, fishing, picnicking, swimming, camping, hiking, fossil hunting, and of course, canoeing and kayaking. Pet and kid friendly and fun and relaxation can be found for all ages. Wilderness half-day, full-day, or overnight camping trips are available. Open year ‘round, 7 days a week.
