After that,  I think things start changing very quickly.  People contact me every day and they want to know how much dog training costs.  Seems reasonable, except it is way to general.  At this moment I have no idea of what that person might really need.  So in order for us to transition from the general to the specific, we sit down and have a conversation about what is going on with their dog and I learn what kind of problems they are having and what kind of goals they have for their dog.  

Clients have told me for years that this early work that we do together clarifies what we are going to work on and most importantly why we are even getting started on this journey together.

This is not group class, it is private for you and your family.  Therefore we are spending our time together working on what you think is important, your agenda, not the general agenda of what the group may or may not need.  Do you like spending your time working on problems that don't apply to your dog?

Don't know if you're like me there, but that would bore me to death.  

Some people tell me that they have just gotten a puppy and they are having problems with housebreaking, jumping and mouthing, and others call me because their dog has gotten big and he's pulling on them so hard that's its uncomfortable to take him for a walk.  And others are at the end of their rope, their dog has bitten a child, or an adult, or attacked their other dog.  My guess is you're not dealing with any of these issues.  But if you were, maybe it would make sense for us to talk on the phone for a few minutes.
