Horrible experience, stay away. ...
Gary salesman PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, really possible that he is bipolar too
I had nothing but a problem since I walked in that store
I bought tempurpedic foundation sand color they gave me brown, when I called Gary he told me he's going to order the right one but I have to pay more and wait for another two weeks
Few weeks later I got gray color foundation, I called Gary and he told me that I don't see well that the gray color is sand color and there is nothing i can do i have to keep it
I went right away to the store and asked for manager and Gary told that the manager is not in store today I have to come back on Monday!
What a liar! Manager was just a few feet away from me, he gave me my money back and he apologized to me
I'll never go back again and I highly recommend to anyone to stay away from this place, you'll get nothing but a problems for your own money with those unprofessional salesman who are unfortunately act like white trash!

DO NOT RUST THE SALES PEOPLE! WE wanted Stainless Black LG appliances, but were told they cost significantly more! And that LG didn't have the stove in this color yet - right! The delivery guys said they have been delivering them over a month and Hoersch runs an ad in the Post Crescent showing they are available and only a few dollars MORE THAN STAINLESS.

The leather sofa and love seat I bought from them is already fading after two years. The zipper has broke on two of the 6 pillows on the sofa.

My ten year old leather furniture is better built and shows no fading on the leather in comparison. $4k Later I will never buy expensive furniture from them again. Contacted manufacturer as well about their poor quality.

I used them for almost 30 yrs They really used to be good before during and after sales. I dont know what happened . Now they only want their money I have bought 2 washer/dryer sets 2 kitchen appliance sets 2 living room sets 1 TV and a few other things from them. After all the business I and friends I have referred to them, I had a couch that was 4 days over warranty the seam was splitting and they told me they wouldn't honor it . So I paid 90.00 for a new cushion and a kick in my teeth. They are happy to take your money and they dont care about customer service once the money is in their hands . A loyal customer going somewhere else . You guys REALLY have gone down hill . It is too bad, because I used to like you.

Worst Service Ever! After dropping the $10,000 on appliances it was like I never existed to VV! Doing a remodel and my appliances ended up on back order but was never told until I called he day after I was told by VV they would be in. Then the sales guy tries to tell me a different story, only I had the email trail and when I referenced that he suddenly had no more arguments. Then the appliances are delivered and installed. I go to try the microwave and it does not heat. I call the store manager only to be told it's discontinued and I only bought three weeks prior, based on recommendation of sales guy, never told me it was discontinued. Then when I call they tell me I have to take the trim kit and everything apart and chase around with this one to trade it in and then reinstall myself. I should have known that while purchasing and the sales guy was trying to sell me on a promotion that expired four days earlier and I had to point it out to him and all he could say is "whoops". I bought from the local company to support local versus big box as I was expecting service from the local company, but completely wrong. Big box stores from now on as no difference in service.

Horrible ordering services. Ordered a special order item 5 months ago. Waited 6 weeks for item. I called and they said the item had been discontinued. Re-ordered a different item thru them, waited several weeks, received a phone call that they were no longer able to get this item either. Gave them one more chance and ordered a brand new item and was told a couple of weeks. We still haven't heard from anyone there. If you do the math, that is way too long to keep a customer waiting! Very poor services!! We will be doing our shopping elsewhere from now on.

The people were nice but many other things wrong. I have ordered from Van Vreede's 2 times in the last year and it has not been good. First story, last year I ordered a bed frame and nightstand for my son. I was told it would take probably 2 weeks and I would get a call when it came in. No call. No furniture after 2 weeks. I called and was told only half the pieces were in and it may be another week. Ok. Fine. So 3 weeks go by, no call, no furniture. I call and was told salesperson who sold me the furniture was not in, I would have to wait until he was in in 2 days. Another gentleman called back trying to help. He stated he would call the warehouse it was shipping from to confirm it was there and being shipped to their warehouse. I received a call it will be there in about a week. So 4 weeks out , no call, no furniture. Once again, I have to call. Furniture not in. About another week they said. 5 weeks out, furniture finally in. I no longer have a truck to pick it up as planned at week 2. They offered free shipping. My husband had also ordered appliances so I said just ship with those items. Items were shipped, only half the bed furnitures were shipped!!! Very very angry at this point. So they said they'd ship it another day, um.... NO! I've waited long enough and was told incorrect things all along. Delivery guy was nice enough to deliver it in his own car on his way home.

Second story. In April, we ordered a sectional sofa and was told it would probably be around 6 weeks because of backorder. That was fine. Furniture came in and once again we did not get a call. I called to follow up and it was in, which was great. My husband went to pick up furniture assuming all pieces given were correct. He came home, unloaded items to the basement. Wrong set up of sofa!! Chaise was to be on left side when sitting on it, not the right. Called the store, they said I was correct that the wrong pieces were given and to bring the 2 incorrect pieces back to exchange them. Well at this point, after unloading everything into basement, husband did not really want to reload it again. We're frustrated at this point that they messed up again. Informed the store that this was not the first time I've ordered from them and had issues. He offered free shipping but it would not be for 5 days at the soonest. Really!?!? Husband decided he will just bring it back then. The guy offered a discount, like $50 off our furniture or something. Husband went and came back. No one even said anything to him about a discount or anything. FOR REALS?!?!?! Bad service in general overall.

"After receiving this customer concern, we researched internally. Then, the customer was contacted by our company President. Since the details of the first matter were from 10 months ago, some of the information was not available, however, there is never a good reason in our company for not returning a phone call. Regarding the second matter, poor information and supply from Ashley furniture and poor communication to our customer added to the frustration level. Our sales on this sectional were more than double of what was anticipated and there were several delays which were not correctly communicated. I understand and agree with the customer's frustration here. Compensation to the customer had been provided as promised, along with a personal apology. Additional compensation was offered on a future purchase as well. Internally steps have been taken to prevent this from happening again in our effort to achieve 100% customer satisfaction."

Very high pressure sales person! Talked us out of our desire to purchase a Tempur Pedic set because they don't sell them. Swore up and down we would "LOVE" their mattress and box spring set, it was "Top of the Line". He neglected to tell us "you buy it, your stuck with it". Bottom line is DON'T shop at Van Vreedes!!!

Poor Customer Service

Purchase elsewhere if you want customer service. I’ve heard about customer complaints for years but didn’t experience it myself until recently. I purchased top of the line refrigerator stove dishwasher and microwave from Van Greedes and had nothing but problems with 2 of the units. The service people seem incompetent and are unpleasant at best while reception is little better. My recommendation is to avoid kitchenaid and shop somewhere else entirely.
