Edison Elementary School offers elementary education from early childhood through Grade 6 students. The school is a part of the Appleton Area School District and is known by its nickname, Edison Chargers. The institute offers support services to those students who are identified as talented and gifted, learning disabled, cognitively disabled, deaf and hard of hearing, emotional behavioral disabilities, or an English language learner. It also offers assistance to students in the area of reading with a full-time reading specialist and the United for Reading Success program. Through the state's Student Achievement Guarantee in Education grant program, the school is able to have class sizes of approximately 15 students at the kindergarten, first, second and third grade levels.
