I danced at Company Dance from its inception in 2004 until I graduated in 2008. As an alumni of Marymount Manhattan College's dance dept., I can confidently say that the training I received at Company Dance was the only training in the area that could have prepared me for such a competitive NYC-based college dance program. If you are a serious dancer looking to work hard, improve, be a well-rounded dancer, and be prepared for a college dance program/career, this is the studio for you.

Develop life skills and a passion for dance. We are all about family! Hard work, determination, perseverance, passion, compassion, and love are a huge focus. A huge plus is that the owner/director, teachers, and choreographers have all worked in the industry and teach proper technique! Best show around with the most amazing dancers! This place makes amazing dancers!! They put on an outstanding show every year, the dancers are the very best around! They are dedicated to Company Dance! My neice dances for them since she was a tot and to this day her dancing still take my breath away!! She loves Company Dance, it's like her 2nd home!

I don't normally write reviews on businesses as I feel that there is usually a good excuse as to the reason some one has encountered a negative experience. In this case it has been 6 years of negativity. The owner is verbally abusive to students as well as parents. After she invaded my personal life and I disagreed with her, she made every attempt to slander my name and destroy my reputation. We are now in the process of suing her as things were completely out of control. She even kept over a thousand dollars worth of costumes that I paid for and refused to reimburse any of the money. We found another local studio which was a better fit for us and actually has better technique. After 6 years of the owner of Company Dance bashing this other studio we found all her slandering remarks to be untrue. My daughter also gets instruction in NY and they commented on how bad the reputation is from Company Dance as well as their technique that they claim is the best. Not nice to spend thousands of dollars on dance for 6 years and realize everything you were taught and were told was all lies... STAY AWAY from this place. My daughter almost lost her finger and my son was spanked in tap class at the age of 3.5....that was his only time there as he didn't want to dance after that. My posts to warn people have been repeatedly taken down and then she has clients post things in retaliation. You can take this post down too, I screen shot it and took it to the attorney. Everything I stated is truth it is documented and in black and white. Many of the posts you see promoting this studio are people who spent hours on the phone with me telling me they want to leave the studio but don't know where to go etc... Again things I can prove.
