VEI (Vector Electric, Inc) is an SBA 8A certified contracting firm that specializes in electrical construction and maintenance related projects. Our Information Technology (IT) group focuses on design and installation of Command and Control electronics, Security, Local Area Networks (LAN) and proprietary systems for government, institutional and enterprise customers. Founded in 1975, VEI's design build capabilities include power distribution, auxiliary power generation, uninterruptible power and transient voltage suppression systems. Vector is a United States Small Business Administration certified 8A contractor. The IT group specializes in voice/ data control and security systems for government and corporate clients. These systems include Closed Circuit Television systems, Network Cat5e, Cat6 and Fiber Optic cable installation and certification. Our network installations are certified to level IV accuracy using the Fluke DTX1800 Tester. We can verify performance, protocol and configuration of vital network functions and services with the Agilent Framescope 350 Network Analyzer. We terminate and certify single mode and multi-mode Fiber Optic cable installations with the Amp Light-Crimp System. Utilizing the latest in web and network programming and technology, we also offer a complete suite of interactive, multimedia design and development services for point-of-presence kiosks, boardroom/media centers, video conferencing and other web and network-based environments.
