I agree with the above comment...

I agree with the above comment completely.

It was unbelievable how my car was given back to me only half put back together.

Initial repair was completed with satisfaction and at a cost that was about average (not too high, not too low).

Regarding how long it would take to do the repair, I was told one thing, but of course, once I left the vehicle at the shop, the repair took a lot longer...this delay, in and of itself, was not a complete deal breaker.

HOWEVER, once the work was completed, the vehicle was given back to me very dirty and most important of all, once I got the vehicle back home, I realized the vehicle was not at all put back together correctly after the repair was completed (clips were left undone, screws were missing, things were rattling, etc.).

Rather than take the vehicle back, I spent over two hours un-assembling the work, and re-assembling the work correctly. I NEVER should have been given the vehicle back this way. Yes, the somewhat simple repair was made satisfactorily (something that was outside my scope of expertise), but the vehicle was returned to me in such bad shape (unbelievably bad shape) that I was afraid to return with the vehicle to have them do what for sure should have been done correctly in the first place. Since this repair shop cannot seem to put your vehicle back together correctly once the repair is made, I would definitely NOT recommend this repair service.

Do not go to Fawzi’s of West...

Do not go to Fawzi’s of Westgate. If you go to Fawzi’s shop, you assume the risk. He did quite a lot of damage to my car when it was at his shop. I needed a heater core re-placement. This requires removal of the dashboard which in turns necessitates re-moval of other parts in the passenger compartment. After I got the car back, this is what I found: the light inside the gear selector did not work, the shift console had been gouged with a screwdriver (I think several attempts were made to pry it off), the pas-senger side floor mat was burned (presumably from a work light that had been left on it), the right and left side windshield frame covers were left hanging (the right side is broken and cannot be reattached), the screws holding on the plastic cover just below the steering wheel were never replaced, the shift lever console was never screwed down, the section behind the shift console around the parking brake was never screwed down, both pieces were misaligned and the locking tabs that should have been beneath the console were sticking out of it, the shift lever was scratched up, the passenger side door fabric was ripped, the dashboard section below the glove box was scratched up, there were gouge marks in the dashboard next to one of the vents, and the dashboard vents do not work: I get no airflow from them. The mechanic who worked on my car was extraordinarily careless, but you would think, simply out of self interest, this mechanic would stop working on the car. When I brought up the floor mats, Fawzi said “if you’re going to cry about it, I’ll buy one used mat.” The burn was not that bad, so it was not worth getting any compensation for the mat, but his assertion that I was crying about it struck me as very odd. The damage to my car is one thing, but Fawzi’s conduct was inexplicably hostile. Why not just deny responsibility in a non-hostile way? Fawzi’s temper is just an additional problem that isn’t worthy of compensation. It’s just bizarre. He seemed extremely sensitive to any negative feedback. I suspect he is able to stay in business because Ann Arbor is a university town—it’s a transient area—students come and then they go, so he always has new customers who are unaware of his personal conduct and his inability to properly manage his employees.
