Like many start up businesses, Tops Unlimited, Inc. started in a garage, in the mid-80s, with only one product line, Laminate Counter tops. By the late 1990s, Tops Unlimited had moved to its current three-building, 22,000 square foot location in Ankeny, Iowa. By that time, the company began to fabricate acrylic tops (like Corian) as it continued to fabricate laminate countertops. In 2007, Tops Unlimited added Stone (granite and quartz) countertops to the mix. We accumulate precise data with digital templating and fabricating through the use of a sophisticated system of CNCs and other machinery, but we maintain the important human aspect in producing a quality product. Our fabricators are involved in the final steps of finishing the tops before they leave our facilities. Not only do we fabricate our own products; we install them. Our employees average over 10 years of experience in the countertop business. The Tops Unlimited employees who would perform installation work in your home have passed extensive background checks. Our 1000 square foot showroom is filled with products to look through to select a countertop for your home. If you bring us a rough drawing of the countertops you want to replace, and pick out the product you want to install in your home, we can give you an estimate as a starting point for your project.
