Established in 1958, South Elementary School serves more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is a part of Andover Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. South Elementary School s staff includes classroom and resource teachers, instructional assistants, specialists, nurses, and cafeteria and custodial personnel. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, media studies and physical education. It offers medical care, speech therapy, and guidance and counseling services to students.
