Valerie DeLaune, LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist and certified neuromuscular therapist, with a Masters degree in acupuncture from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington.  She holds professional certificates from the Heartwood Institute and the Brenneke School of Massage. 

She practiced as a massage therapist from 1989 to 2004, and has provided Traditional Chinese Medicine health care services since 1997.  She specializes in treatment of pain-related conditions, Fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome, though she treats many other conditions as a general practitioner. 

Valerie is the author of eleven books on trigger point self-help techniques, and writes feature articles for physical therapy and other magazines.  She teaches continuing education classes for massage therapists, acupuncturists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, and self-help classes for the public.
