Alaska Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program that operates under the administration of the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young men and women ages 16 through 24. In addition to career and technical training, it provides academic training, including basic reading and math. Alaska Job Corps also offers courses in independent living, employability skills and social skills. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, it offers offer traditional sports and games, such as basketball and softball.
