We stayed in a Parlor Suite for 7 nights. Overall we were pleased with our stay and Desert Inn will remain on our list of hotels to price check for future Disneyland visits. Parking is $9 extra per night (plus taxes) and parking is VERY limited for the number of rooms. There is a valet option if there are no spaces. Cribs are an additional $10 per night plus taxes. The cribs are not "Standard" size cribs (smaller than your crib at home, but slightly bigger than a pack n play). You may want to bring a breathable bumper if you have a baby who likes to put their feet through the slats.

The Parlor Suite has a front room with the pullout couch, small table, and TV with stand and 3 drawers, plus an open storage area, there is also a window to the front walkway. There is an actual DOOR (so many other hotels have a sliding door w/ translucent glass that lets the light into the extra room which sucks when you're trying to let the kids sleep and there is light streaming into their room from the parent room!) There is also a fan that pulls the air from the parent room into the front room which is extra awesome because we could leave the door closed and not worry about the temp in the front room getting crazy. The front room does have room for the crib when the sofa bed is pulled out, but it blocks the door, so don't expect to be able to leave the hotel room if planning to use the sofa bed pullout PLUS the crib in the front room.

The back room had 2 Queen beds, a TV w/ stand and 3 drawers, a desk, and an armoir with the fridge on the bottom, the microwave on top, and then a shelf above the microwave. The bathroom has the sink in the room with the toilet/shower separate. Water pressure was standard hotel quality (poor). There is also a window in this part of the hotel room (which had a view of Disneyland Fireworks!). The beds were NOT comfortable, we ended up splitting up and each taking a separate bed because we were both tossing & turning so much with the uncomfortable beds. The room was pretty quiet, either we didn't have loud neighbors or the room was pretty well sound proofed. We were on the 5th floor (top floor) so no one above us probably helped as well. Decor was older but clean and fine. There was not quite enough drawer space to unpack everyone completely, but i know most people don't stay for an entire week. The "closet" is an open space with a bench...I like having a closed off closet to throw the daily dirty clothes in and close the door but it wasn't a huge deal lacking a true closet.

I Mentioned above that our room had an awesome view of the fireworks at Disneyland. There is also a rooftop viewing area for the Fireworks. We never made it up there during Fireworks so I don't know if they also piped in the music like over at the Grand Legacy's Rooftop lounge. One annoying thing was people going up there to smoke and then making the elevator walkway stink like marijuana &/or cigarette smoke. Also, room keys don't open the door to the rooftop deck, so I had to go down to the front desk to get them to send someone up to open the door when we found it closed and wanted to check it out.

The complimentary continental breakfast is nothing to sing about. Hard Boiled Eggs, Instant Oatmeal, toast, cereal, muffins, danishes, juice, milk. And every other day they had plain bagels.

There are only 2 elevators at the hotel. The one at the front only services floors 1-3, the one halfway down the hotel services floors 1-5. At Check-in (around 4pm) there were no luggage racks to be found so that made dragging our kids & bags up to the room cumbersome. Later on I did notice they have about 5 or 6 luggage racks so we just missed out on them (but were able to use the luggage racks on check out day, thankfully!)

Location for this hotel canNOT be beat, one of the 3 closest hotels to the transportation hub at Disneyland ... which is why we chose this hotel in the first place (we wanted a close hotel, with a 2 room "suite").
