Agreed about the inexperienced girl who has since been let go. Dr. Tiger (owner) graduated top of his class at lsu in '82 and is one of the best vets around

they had some young girl doctor in there that was clueless. We took our dog snowbunny there because he was acting sick like he was poisoned. I'm the one who had to tell them to give him fluids and after they did he perked right up.

Second, they misdiagnosed my cat saying he had a flea allergy and that wasn't it at all. So I called to see if I could get some of the money back since they did absolutely nothing and was wrong. No deal!

Also they said that in order for us to purchase heartworm medication that the dog needed to be seen by the doctor which is B.S. You can go buy it online at plenty of places without having to pay a doctor.

they are clueless. Sure they probably do well on some of the cases. But be weary if it's not an easy diagnosis to find out they'll throw out something to you, and expect you to pay full price even if they are wrong.

I was extremely disappointed with Amite Animal Clinic. They advertise 24/7 service BUT unless your already a client they won't take you and refer you onto the Animal Hospital in Mandeville which is a careless, very unprofessional place which I will NEVER take another animal too (They allowed my beloved Buzz to suffer all weekend till Monday when he should have been put to sleep that Friday! All for an extra $600!!!). This is false advertisement because NO WHERE in there service description does it specify you have to be a client to receive 24/7 care. All I can say is I will NOT be calling them back in case of an emergency.

Our Family had a small dog get attacked by a large dog and broke the little dogs leg and did some other flesh wounds.

I called the after hours number and took the dog to the office. While I was on the way the vet called me back and said he would meet me there. By the time I got there the Dr. was already there and evaluated the dog and started working on her right away. This was a Sunday late evening to night. Great Service!
