Set up an appointment with them. They never showed up, and never called to let us know they where not coming. Wife waited all day for nothing.

Maytag Bravos dryer stopped working on a Saturday. I called all around Ankeny/Des Moines (we live in Ankeny), but everyone was closed. Called Ken's in Ames and got a hold of Kent, who was EXTREMELY patient as I tried to explain what was going on with the dryer and what parts I was describing. He didn't have the answer right then, but called back after he did some research. He told me how to take the dryer apart (along w/safety warnings) and how to get the suspected part out. I took it up to their shop and Ken verified it was a bad thermal fuse. Just over $17 later and I was on my way home. Put the new fuse in, put the back panel back on, and crossed the fingers while hitting start. What a glorious sound it was when the dryer started working again. Kent was super helpful, patient, and understanding. He wasn't afraid to let me know what he didn't know...honest. With his help and research, I was able to fix the dryer myself and save tons of money relative to having a tech come out. Highly recommended!

They had the part I needed in stock that day (inventory is king). They helped me test the bad part to make sure that was what needed to be replaced.



They have factory parts, there are a lot of cheap junk parts online. I like being able to buy from a authorized dealer.
