The Iowa State University Book Store has been serving the faculty, staff, students and community for more than 100 years. The University Book Store began in the 1800's in a small room in Beardshear Hall. The bookstore is located on the ground floor of the Iowa State Memorial Union in Ames, Iowa. It provides textbooks, general books, software, electronics, school supplies, art and design materials, clothing and gifts as well as faculty staff and graduation centers. The completion of the remodel construction was awarded the 1994 Project of the Year Award for General Construction Remodel under one million by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa.
