Dr. Angela Atzen has been a godsend. I have four boys in grade school, all into sports of course and all very active. Dr. Atzen has always been patient with them, more than I would have been, and talks to my boys directly, not in a talking-down-to-kids sort of way. Her medical history for each of them is clear, precise, individualized. We live near Brooklyn, so driving over's a bit of a pain, but my boys would have a fit if they didn't get to go tease Dr. A about her hair and have her tease them right back. And oh yes, Dr. Atzen isn't an antibiotic slinger. She only prescribes what's needed and doesn't throw antibiotics at every kid through the door. Dr. Atzen's a breath of fresh air in an often stuffy profession and a highly qualified, professional, friendly doctor for the 21st century. I only wish a doctor like her had been there for me when I was younger! We'll be back late July for the crazy pre-fall checkups. Buckle your seat belt!
