This company is a piece of work! They stole the tanks from my yard without warning or notice of any kind after being a customer for 6 years. They damaged my driveway and fence in the process. They said "don't worry, we'll send someone out to check the damage, we're fully insured". That never happened. They refused to give me any information on the phone (I talked to Joanne) because, according to them, the contract was in my ex-wife's name. THEN they sent her a $600 check for the credit balance on the account! I'm a single Dad and found out that I didn't have propane after trying to start my stove to cook dinner for my kids. They wouldn't even provide proof that the tanks were theirs and the people I bought the house from told me that the tanks were owned. They stonewalled me and trespassed. I'm fed up with these people and want justice!!!!

We have been a cust. since '85 for propane. This yr. we got a "special" early fill up price on our tanks after checking was a $1.00 higher per gal. than a competitor. We called and asked if they would meet this price-answer no. We inquired about the procedure to have the tanks removed, but did not say to do it. One day-the tanks were gone- no call, no notification-just gone. Keep in mind that 2 years ago we put in a new kitchen and bought all our appliances from them to the amount of $30,000,00. We have called a number of times after being billed for these tanks and got little response. Three months later, we are told the person handling this had left and no one knew what going on and she stated there are little notes, but nothing can be done about what we owe, This is at collections because no one knew to follow up on it and will affect our credit rating if not paid. I am extremely upset the way things have been handled. I will be sure to tell everyone and not recommend.

Stay away from this company. We have been customers for many, many years. Tuesday we called because our propane heater would not start. Someone came out and started the heater. Within 30 minutes of the service person leaving, we could not shut off the heater using the thermostat. We had to manually turn the heater off and now it won't start again. Don't try to call the service person back, because you can't get in touch with anyone. Now we get a bill for the service. So in the middle of the snow storm we have no heat but we do have a bill due to Trexler Haines. Terrible company.

you do realize that natural gas and propane arent the same thing.. you obviously would need an extra part if you have natural gas and want to install a propane dryer.. i guess that isnt common sense though...

He said ok and proceeded to do the job. There was no discussion of any additional costs at this pointas I had no reason to believe their would be based on my phone conversation 4 days prior with the TH rep. Then, when the technician was installing the dryer, he said he couldnt complete the work that day because he needed a special part for it. I said, I assume there will not be an extra charge for this. He said probably there would be, but I could call the company to make sure. I immediately called TH and asked about this and they stated it was not their fault that I didnt have the special part needed (amazing). Evidently, it is common knowledge that one must have a propane conversion part for them to install a gas dryer?!?!? Somehow I was supposed to know this and they stated if I would have bought the dryer from their company, I couldve avoided this (insult to injury). Ludicrous. I demanded to know the cost of the part and was told that she didnt know exactly.

t was implied that additional meant any circumstances arising above and beyond the normal scope of work to be done.which is always the point for any estimate (hence the term, estimate). My actual cost compared to the estimate was about 200% more! Anyway, I told them I currently had no gas appliances but was planning on getting some in the future. I asked if they could just run the gas lines and I would connect them when the electric appliances needed replacement and I bought the gas ones. She stated no you must already have the appliances available. We will not install a shut-off valve at the appliance location. At that point I told her I would work diligently to get a new gas dryer and oven delivered by the install date to avoid any additional costs for installing them. I can, if helpful, supply the Sears receipts to show exactly when I bought these appliances.
