I am a board certified neurologist with additional training in EMG and neuromuscular medicine within St. Luke’s Neurology Associates and St. Luke’s Center for Neuroscience. My interest in Neurology blossomed during my medical training in India. The unique complexity of human nervous system has, and will always fascinate me. I pursued my internship at York Hospital, a neurology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine and Fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. After my training, I worked at Penn State Hershey Medical center for 5 years, where the focus of my practice was to care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, such as muscle diseases, muscular dystrophies, neuropathies and myasthenia gravis. I have a special interest in patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease) and was the associate director of the Penn State Hershey ALS clinic for 3 years. I was in West Virginia for the last year at WVU college of Medicine and am coming back to Pennsylvania, which has been home for us for the last 10 years. I believe in a team approach to patient care and work with a great multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists and genetic counselors. I take great pride in my patient care, my dealing with the patients and their families and strongly believe in communication at each step of their workup, treatment and management options. Outside of work, I like to travel and enjoy spending time with my husband and two little boys.
