ads for what they don't have

I placed an order for a DVD. A week later, I received a cancelled order notice due to not having the item. My credit card was refunded. At the same time, I checked online, and their system indicated that it was still in stock, but now at a slightly higher price. Something isn't right here.

Buyer beware

I ordered a laptop which they claimed was "in stock" and shipped in "1-2 days". Of course they charged my debit card immediately. After a week it had not shipped so I tried to cancel the order only to get the following email



"Dear ,



Thank you for contacting Buy.com.



We are responding to your email regarding order# .



A cancellation request was submitted to our fulfillment center. This is only a request and your order may still ship while this request is being processed. You will receive an email confirming or denying the cancellation request for this order within the next few business days.



Thank you for your patience."



They list no means of contacting them by phone.

Bad rebate policy

When rebate check is not received, buy.com does not respond to the email. If it responds, it will be "We are working very hord to resolve the issue." And the rebate will never materialize.
