East Coast Transmission quoted my wife an estimate of $1,529.00 to replace a clutch and some related hydraulics, they also suspected our manual transmission needed some overhauling... when I asked about the hydraulics as the reservoir in my Miata was low they said that they needed to pull the transmission to fix enen just that. I did some quick research and found out that Miatas are notorious for having a leak in the slave cylinder and that it's very accessible behind the passenger front wheel, the shop insisted I was wrong and were going to fax me proof, I told my wife to Rowe the car back home, that night I took about 1 hr and $30 in parts and fixed my car. While the shop had my car they left it on for two days killing my battery, they also continually lied and were rude. I am thoroughly convinced that they recommend to anyone that comes in with a clutch hydraulic problem to do a full clutch replacement and charge a boat load of money. This shop should be avoided. This business clearly cheats customers...

NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!

I recently had work done on my transmission, by East coast transmission. When i called, Les picked up the phone. I explained the problem. This problem is a direct result of the work that was performed on my vehicle. Les told me that there was nothing that he could do, and that it wasn't his problem. This was not only very rude, but very untrustworthy.
