Window World was founded in 1995 by Leon Whitworth. The office was a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It did not look like much but, Leon had big plans for this company. He was not going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He was not going to do things like they had always been done. A slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his price at $1,000 or even $1,200 per window, creates bogus discounts, and tries to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. The other end of the spectrum is the guy who has cheap prices along with an inferior product that would not last very long.Leon knew to be successful he could not do any of these things. The Window World way would be simple, provide superior products, installed by professional craftsmen, with guaranteed low prices, simply the best for less.
