i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseWell, after reading the one review which was a very good review and reading an article on The Great Birmingham Hot Dog Tour I was all set for our 2-hour ride to an old fashioned Drug Store Soda Fountain experience with some great homemade food. Much to my disappointment (as well as my wife), this was not as advertised. The folks there were very nice and hospitable but the food was not that fresh, hamburgers are obviously frozen patties, the hot dog was mediocre at best, chili may have been homemade but was not suited for a hot dog. The owners idea apparently is to TRY to give you that old fashioned feel but I believe it falls short of that. I've been to some real "old fashioned" soda fountains, which this s NOT! In my opinion the old fashioned feel is overshadowed by the over priced children's wear and other items on the floor though they do have a few jars of candy to give that look, but doesn't quite make it. By the way 1 hamburger with a small bag of chips and drink, 1 hot dog with a small bag of chips and drink was a total of nine dollars and change.

I called to from out of state with a question about my mother's meds. Loretta was the pharmacist today & gave me info about the med in question, & was very kind with her response.

Carlisle Drug was amazing! I loved it a lot! Everybody, the employees, the other customers, etc., were all so nice to me! I will definatley go back a lot knowing what great hospitality they offer and how they handle their customers with care. I will take my kids there and I know they will enjoy it and I will be pleased to share such a wonderful experience with them. Thanks Carlisle Drugs!
