When I first took my Sammie to see Dr Dana, he sat on the floor to examine Sammie. He wasn't a big stranger towering over my dog and was less frightening because of that. Talked in plain English and was thorough and gentle. He started treatment with medication first instead of immediately ordering X rays, CAT scans and other extreme and expensive measures.

The staff was friendly, professional, and understanding. When we walked in, I had told them the reason for me dropping in was that Sammie's issue caused loss of control of back legs, bladder and bowels. When they had to mop urine twice, they did so cheerfully.

Some weeks later, when I called back because the medication had not helped, they set an appointment for one hour later.

When you find a place where everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and caring, you tend to go back to them. As I did and will continue to do so in the future.

As good as many of the reviews about Taylor Ranch Veterinary may be, I found their service to be very disappointing. I recently moved to the ABQ area and took my pup for yearly vaccination/examination. I arrived on the 15th of Feb. 2016 @ 10:15 A.M. and was seen with my dog around 10:35 AM. The male vet gave my dog a distemper shot and then told me to have a seat and the doctor should be in within 10 minutes to examine my dog. I sat in the room for about 30 minutes. I then told the lady at the front desk that I had been waiting for 30 minutes in the room, had arrived at their office at 10:15 AM and now it was 11:30 AM, and she went back to consult with the doctor and then told me that the doctor would see us within the next 10 minutes. I decided to wait no longer, was charged $24.00 dollars for the vaccine and I left. I would have thought that the doctor or manager would extend the courtesy of giving me a call and apologizing for the inconvenience, but such was not the case. Very disappointed in the way I was treated and ignored. Shame on Taylor Ranch Vet Hospital !!!

We've lost 2 dogs from misdiagnosis at Ventana Ranch Veterinary. My husband researched on the internet and read reviews on the veterinary clinics in Albuquerque. We live on the Westside but decided to take our dogs to VCA on Montgomery. Our dog Mickey had a tooth that was cracked in half and from the examination 3 tumors had fluid taken from them and 1 came back a mass cell 2 tumor. The vet we saw didn't want to pull the tooth and had a specialist contact us. They weren't going to be able to see Mickey for 3 weeks. That wasn't acceptable!! I decided to stop by Taylor Ranch Veterinary. Well, we had Mickey in surgery the next morning for both the tumor and removal of the tooth.The surgery went very well but Dr. Forsyth recommended we have a consultation with an oncologist.**************************************************Today was a lot longer than anticipated. When the oncologist started examining Mickey she found another marble size tumor in Mickeys groin. She had me feel it. I was Shocked!! It felt just like the one he just had removed. Dr. Kelly is an oncologist from Santa Fe, SHE WAS WONDERFUL!! She wanted to take an ultrasound, x-Ray, blood work, on and on and on.She took fluid from 7 lumps. Good news,,,all 7 came back negative. Dr. Kelly is going to start oral treatment to treat the fat tumors and treatment to keep the positive mass that was removed from coming back. Mickey will be on Palladia for 4 months and hopefully with ALL the other supplements she subscribed the positive mass won't return.Thank you Dr. Forsyth for hopefully getting all the cancer during surgery and referring us to Dr. Kelly.Hopefully Mickey responds to the Palladia well.

My daughter is living 1000 miles away from home, going to school. When one of her Guinea Pig babies became very ill, we had to rush to find a vet that treats exotics. I had read a couple of negative reviews, so I had concerns, but we really had no choice. Another day may have been too late for her baby! I am happy to say, all of our concerns have been laid to rest. Dr. Dana has been amazing and the staff has never been anything other than extremely friendly and helpful. Even though I am in another state, I have had to help deal with a lot of the appointment scheduling and refills of medication, since my daughter is usually in class when these things need to be taken care of. The girls have been very patient with me needing to juggle phone calls and texts with three different people to get things under control. We were also expecting to have to pay an emergency visit fee since she had to get her in "same day", so it was a pleasant surprise when that was not the case. I am very glad that we were able to find a practice that my daughter can feel good about trusting her baby to, and I can rest assured that they understand that to someone so far from home, her babies are her family! A huge thank you goes out to Tasha and Dr. Dana and all of the staff for taking care of MY baby.

Dr. Dana and his staff are INCREDIBLE!! Caring, kind, loving and compassionate .... the best you will ever find! We have been going to Dr. Dana for over seven years and have NEVER had an issue, complaint or been treated unfairly. I highly recommend Taylor Ranch Vet Hospital!

Each time I take my dog to see Dr. Dana, it is a positive experience for both of us. My dog is eager to go there and happy to see Dr. Dana who will sit on the floor to examine her, thereby reducing her anxiety level. Dr. Dana is very thorough, and takes the time to address any concerns I may have. He does not push procedures or medications if he deems them unnecessary, unlike some vets I have gone to. When my appointment is over, I always leave feeling that my dog received the best care. The staff is very friendly and professional. I am extremely satisfied with Taylor Ranch Veterinary Hospital and will continue to recommend them to my family and friends. A New Yorker is going to tell you how it really is.

Dr. Dana took care of my 16 year old border collie, Freckles, for the last five years of her life. He and his staff were always warm, helpful and professional. I feel the fees charged matched the service and attention we received. When it finally came time to put Freckles to sleep due to a tumor in her nose, they were patient with my indecision, and extremely kind...prescribing medicine to help her through her last month, and taking a great deal of time when the day came. She did not suffer, and they even sent us a card, afterwards. Dr. Dana AND the staff are great!

Have been going to Dr. Dana and Taylor Ranch Vet for years and have been happy with them. However, on May 4, 2012, I took 3 dogs in for vaccinations. I was shocked when my bill came to $246.00 for a total of 15 minutes and 4 vaccines. They should have told me I would be charged a $30 "office visit" PER DOG for the vaccines. If I would have known that I was going to pay over $100 just to walk in the office, I would have gone to a shot clinic. Never would I have thought 4 vaccines would cost me almost $250! And, if you did need to charge a regular customer an office visit, why not charge just one visit, not 3! We will never be back, or to the other location at Cottonwood.

Taylor Ranch Vet. Hospital. We recently decided to try a new Veterinarians office after adopting a shelter dog. We thought we would use Taylor Ranch Vet. Hosp., since it's location was convenient. Well let me tell you, the doctor was great, but the receptionist was far less to be desired. I originally felt zero warmth or care from this woman from the minute I walked through the door, a sort of, air of inconvenience for her troubles. I don't know, maybe a bad day? Well the next visit was even worse, My dog was injured with an open bloody woundon her face that required immediate attention and a few stitches. How was I reeived? Same bad attitude and disinterest in my dogs well being. I was told the best they could do was an $88.00 appointment, to make an appointment for the next day, and maybe they would do something. You've lost my business

Brought my cat in cause he was losing weight....the diagnosis was to give him a 1/4 of a pepcid...........kept losing weight..decided to take to another vet who found out he had stomach cancer, TENNIS BALL SIZED!, NEVER going back to this vet again!

I wouldn't take any of my three Cornish Rex and one Sphynx to any other veterinarian. Dr. Rob Dana is the very best.

Dr. Dana is the BEST!!!!! - I have been taking my three Yorkies there for 4 years now and he is the greatest. He explains everything to me in detail and pulls out a book or prints out the information to me. He is very good with the dogs and gets on the floor with them and examines them. I would not trust anyone else but Dr. Dana.

I have never been more pleased with a vet than I am with Dr. Dana. I have five animals and I wouldn't trust their health to anyone else!

I would not take my loved ones any place else. I drive 2 hours to get to Dr Spohn and her staff. I have never been left hanging for answers to my questions or the treatment of my loved one.They have given my guy the best of care and I have been to several vets for his various complicated medical issues. Dr Spohn has always treated my concerns with the utmost respect and patience.I love this vet and her staff beyond any I have ever seen in the past.I would not hesitate in recommending these wonderful people to anyone and indeed I have.

Dr. Lauren Spohn took such great care with I got my 5 month old pit bull puppy spayed that there is almost no scar at all. Very happy with the polite and professional office staff as well :)

Dr. Lauren Spohn and Dr. Dana are both very caring and kind to all our pets and to us. Dr. Spohn is our regular veterinarian and has such compassion for animals and their owners when going through rough times. She remembers all five of our pets and their medical histories and takes excellent care of them. The staff is friendly and helpful too. The care is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. We are so grateful for Taylor Ranch Veterinary Hospital and for their care of our furry family members.

The staff was extremly helpful in taking care of our boy, in the last month's of his life. Dr. Dana took care of him all of his life and I attribute that and the never ending love we gave him to his long life. Thank you everyone for your devotion and compassion.
