Where to begin? Hmm well lets start by the fact that the only people I will ever send to NM dancewear is people in dire need of dance apparel. Anyone else, order online or try to look for someplace else. When I have gone in there, the numerous times, I have dealt with Ashley, Victoria, Celina, Holly, and Kirstie all with amazing service. However they had a young lady, I believe her name was Fiona, that was so bad it made the managment team there look good. Havnt seen her there for awhile, maybe they made a good decision, finally, and fired her. As for the managment team, Oh Lord! Who ever the owners are, I hope its not the two older ladies there, you need to fix this mess pronto!!! Liz, I've had the indecent pleasure to meet, was horiffic. This lady makes satan look like a saint. completly rude and inconciderate to all customers and her employees. Ive been in the retail business for the last 9 years as a manager and if someone was like this on my sales team they would see the door quicker than a ballet shoe hits the floor. I really wish that there is a competitor out there that is smart to read all of these reviews and open their own shop and dominate this area with amazing customer service.

I have been to NM dancewear serveral times to buy items for my children who are in dance. The young girls that work there are wonderful! Although, I am extremely dissapoint in the managment. I think they need new owners and a manager. Lube the owner is extremely rude to customers. She is rude to staff in front of customers. Liz the manager is the rudest person I have ever met in any business environment. I hope that NM dancewear reads this and considers a lesson 101 on public realtions. How I wish there was another competitor.

Each time we have been to NM Dancewear we have had great customer service! This past visit Fiona and Lube helped fit my daughter with her pointe shoes. We appreciate the time they took to make sure the correct shoes were purchased!

As a costumer for a local ballet company for the last two years and a dance mom for 15 years before that, I've had numerous occasions to shop at NM Dancewear. Recently I sent an associate to pick up some items for our current production. The woman who assisted, Holly, was extremely helpful and polite and when I returned later for more supplies, she remembered us and was efficient and helpful in filling our needs. As a small shop, NM Dancewear does not carry everything but the staff is knowledgeable about what they carry and what alternatives might be suitable. They can also order most things one might need for dance that is not stocked in the store. Holly helped us choose appropriate garments to dye in colors that were not available and the end products were great! They are willing to give you discounts on full price items and often have what I need at a reduced price already. Thank you to NM Dancwear for supporting the local NM dance community well!

Since moving to Abq in Aug. 2012, my daughter and I have been to NM Dancewear numerous times. We have always been treated nicely and the staff are well-informed of the product selection. Thanks, New Mexico Dancewear!!

Thanks to Fiona, my maiden voyage involving purchasing ballet slippers and leotards for my (not present) daughter turned into a fun experience. Fiona knows her stuff, could relate to my predicament, and got me in and out of there quickly. Her expertise was priceless.

I have been into New Mexico Dancewear several times over the years because they are the only local store with a great selection of shoes. The young girls that work there are sweethearts and truly help you in everyway they can and always have a smile on their face - which is hard to come by these days & the store always looks great! However, I am extremely disappointed in the owner of the store, and older woman, whose name I believe is Loube. Every time I see her in the store she is just plain rude to most customers and has no sense of "the customer is always right" in fact, she has a horrible way of being very aggressive very quickly and making me, and other customers uncomfortable. I have also seen her make people feel stupid as she tells them the discounts they thought they would be receiving do not apply to them, for whatever reason she comes up with. I wish there was someone above her to knock some kindness into her. I figured it was time to write down my feelings because I have experienced this several times with her and wish it would end.

I just purchased a new leo for my daughter - we are always looking for the best price, quality and service to support her ballet. I LOVE to shop at NMDancewear because the staff is super helpful, they even call us at home to make sure a new leo or different brand of pointe shoes is working out. (Fiona is awesome!) Their no-hassle return policy makes it easy to shop, and I can use my 20% discount card and get donations to our school as well. I always go to NMDW first - no need to shop online!

After spending many hours getting fitted for pointe shoes in other places, they were able to fit my daughter in 30 minutes. When a hard shank was not available in her size they special ordered a pair for her. We will definitely be using this establishment in the future.

My daughter went to be fitted for her first pair of Pointe shoes. Fiona initiated the fitting and explained how to care for the shoes. She established an excellent connection with my daughter. Loube and Fiona both worked with my daughter to ensure she had just the right fit. I strongly recommend the store for the quality of their products and excellent service.

We went in for a pair of adult male size 12-13 flamenco shoes - not a common purchase, but they had just what we needed. And Loube, one of the owners, offered excellent advice that helped him pick the perfect size - which wasn't what he would have selected himself! This is clearly THE place for dance shoes, since finding the right shoe at the right fit is so important to performance and foot health. Nice folks, too!

Sara fitted me for pointe shoes, and the experience was efficient, thorough, pleasant and quick. Since that time, the entire staff has been nothing but knowledgable and accomodating. Not living in ABQ, replacement shoes must be mailed to me, free of shipping charges, along with a nice discount off the price of the shoes. What more could a customer want? New Mexico Dancewear is the only place to go for pointe shoes in the state of NM and beyond!

The ladies at NM Dancewear are so friendly and respectful! It's the only dance apparel store I'll take my 7-year-old daughter to, because they deal directly with her when trying on shoes or clothes. They don't disregard her just because she's a kid! I'm always impressed with their discounts and incentives for out-of-town customers (like me) as well.During our last visit, the store was offering a promotion for free fairy-style wands with select purchases. The lovely ladies there saw my daughter and me looking at the display table for these, and - without me having to ask about it at all - they asked me if my daughter could have a free wand. The cashier went over with my daughter and helped her find exactly the wand she wanted. Talk about friendly and personal service!Simply Outstanding!

I went to NMDancewear on Menaul to purchase items for my Granddaughters. I walked in and Ashley B. asked me if she could help me and she was wonderful! I had a list and she knew exactly what I needed and where to find each item. Ashley even spoke to my daughter and confirmed the order. I appreciated her help and knowledge.

We have recently switched to New Mexico Dancewear and we are extremely pleased with our experiences for shoe fittings. Last week we purchased a pair of ballet technique shoes, and Fiona was just incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. She made the whole process go very quickly. Plus earlier this year we had exceptional service from the owner for a pair of pointe shoes, and even tho our appointment seemed to have gotten mixed up she still saw us, no questions asked. We now go to this store whenever we need new ballet attire.

I would like to point out the excellent fitting and sales experience we had at New mexico Dancewear in Albuquerque. Sara M. took great care and time to find the correct fit for daughter's pointe shoes. We also shop at New Mexico Dancewear by phone when we are unable to make the drive to Albuquerque and the entire staff is always helpful and patient. Thank you New Mexico Dancewear!

we saved a great deal of time, energy and money by going to NM dancewear. We were referred by the dance teacher at my stepdaughter's school and we will definitely be going back for all of her dancing needs. Fiona was such a great help to us and she cut our shopping time in half by knowing just the right questions to ask and having all the right information. My step-daughter is taking Flamenco classes for the first time. Our experience at NM dancewear was very helpful in making her happier and more comfortable in her decision this semester.

I own a dance school in Taos and for the past several years have been working with NM dancewear. I send them footprints of my students feet and they send me back the ballet slippers in the correct sizes. I have never had a refit! They also travel up to the studio a few times a year to do pointe shoe fittings. They are professional, helpfull, and always willing to work with my studio.
