Jules Construction was recommended to us by a General Contractor for the installation of several tall, free-standing stepped masonry walls and a flagstone patio at the front of our house. The cost proposal from Jules was competitive and entirely reasonable for standard CMU and flagstone installation. We're Architects, this was our own design, so we also had some pretty high standards in mind for the quality of the work. The outcome exceeded our expectations. Julian Gallegos and his crew were skilled and meticulous throughout the project, not only in the execution of the masonry and stone work, but also in keeping the site clean and safe, on a daily basis. There were portions of the project that we intended to construct ourselves, and Julian was not only cooperative, but most helpful in assisting with the coordination and sequencing of the different parts of the work. Their exacting care extended from the measuring and layout of the site, to the compaction and grading of the substrate material, from the precisely straight and vertical planes of the walls, to the careful selection and fitting of each flagstone. Before the final mortaring and grouting of the stones, they allowed us the opportunity to suggest any adjustments that we might prefer to the stone pattern. The gentlemen – artisans – who worked on our project showed a great deal of pride in both their own craft, and the company for which they work. The final result reflected standards of Old World craftsmanship, and was as much a work of art as it was a well-built patio. We are pleased to have found Jules Construction, to have worked with them, and to enthusiastically recommend them to anyone seeking a Masonry Contractor that brings skill, craftsmanship, and integrity to their work, along with the construction services that they offer.
