terrible customer service from dakota and manager will not return messages,it's really bad,worst customer service experience i ever had,i got sick from all this,they dakota won't listen i really need to exchange the furniture i got,i'm unable to use it,but responds from dakota my gosh nightmare

I had a really good experience here. I came into the store earlier this week and bought a sectional and tv stand. Hilife had the best prices of all the other furniture stores I went to and the customer service was better than everywhere else too. All of my items were in stock so I was able to schedule a delivery for Friday! I got my furniture delivered last night and i love it so much! Its the best couch I have ever sat on, the cushions are incredibly comfortable! The tv stand fits perfectly in my living room and its the perfect size for my house. This store made me enjoy furniture shopping, the sales people were awesome and super helpful and the ladies in the back of the store in customer service were just as nice and helpful. The employees are great to work with, I can't wait to go back to buy more furniture!

its a great place they have very nice high quality furniture, you get what u pay for spent a little more but got very nice high quality furniture, very happy as soon as they got it in they delivered my furniture to me fast, and as soon as they can great service will do business there again forsure. went back today found my old invoice and gave me a discount to get more furniture great people.

I've done business with this company before and haven't had any issues but I do wish I'd read some of the online reviews before placing a "special order" couch, which was promised to be delivered in 6-8 weeks. I called around the 6-week mark to check the status and was told the couch would be finished and on the truck in a week and a half, which would be right about now. Just called again and guess what? The factory mysteriously ran out of the fabric we chose (which is the exact same fabric displayed on the floor model in the store). Soooo...they weren't out of fabric and week and 1/2 ago when I called? Huh. Now I'm looking at another 4 weeks until the couch is ready to be shipped. So I have now paid for a rather expensive couch that I am not sitting on. 6-8 weeks has now turned into 11 - and of course I can't cancel the order.



I give this place 2 stars because we've purchased other items that were in stock, which were delivered in a timely fashion. We have always been treated well and haven't experienced the rudeness that others have mentioned. Unfortunately, this experience has definitely clouded my view of Hilife Furniture and I won't be purchasing from them in the future.

I will NEVER order from this company again. Issue after issue, from measurements not being correct, not able to guarantee what they say, having to send back and reorder, and then not getting all pieces delivered, still waiting on pieces and will have to wait another 2 weeks. The worst part is the manager, Omar, who is by far, the worst manager I have ever had to deal with. He, as a manager, had no customer service skills at all, did nothing to help on our order, did not apologize for all the inconveniences they caused us, but yet had the audacity to yell at me and threaten to hang up, saying he did not have to deal with me. He said, I as a customer should have done our own research and read all the policies online before buying furniture. Not until it's too late do they mention that they only do in- store credit and will not give you your money back, meaning I had no choice but to deal with them. They are quick to make a good deal/sale but it's not worth it, I would have rather gone directly to Ashley Furniture and paid more than to deal with these issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY AT THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS.

The great plus to this store is they offer lay-a-way, and only a few places even offer that service anymore. The floor staff are helpful, however, the staff in the customer service area are quite the opposite. I saw a beautiful accent chest at the store and after some online research (reviews & prices) it turned out that Hi Life had the best price for the piece. I went ahead and put the item on layaway. With $150 balance I knew that by the end of April I would have it paid off. So upon making a payment in the first week of April I asked the lady that was performing the transaction to please place the order for a pickup at the end of April. Her response was, "Not to worry. You're furniture will be ready for pickup at the end of the month." However, she made no written notation of the request and placed my "file" back in the layaway folder with all the others. The lady then proceeded to assist another customer. I gave her too much credit in thinking that she had this great memory and that she would place my order as soon as she was done assisting the other customer. Today, May 3rd, I called the store to inform them that I would be picking up the chest tomorrow morning. The person who asnwered the phone put me on hold to check the status of furniture. When she got back on the line she told me that the chest was not in, and that the order was not placed until a week ago. I asked her how long it would be until the item arrives. She said she could not provide me with any date but that I should expect it to be at least 3 or 4 weeks! They sure are quick to take your money but can not guarantee what they say, in my case that the item would be in the store by the end of April. This stinks! I was so excited about setting up the new chest in the living room and it turns out I have to wait another month?!! But after reading all the other reviews today I guess I won't hold my breath. Ugh!

Amazing place! Usually people ...

Amazing place! Usually people that are mad about something will post on this reviews, however, I am completely satisfied with the service I was provided. I did not order anything because they had what I wanted in stock and I made sure of that. The girl at the customer service has become one of my favorite girls cause i have ordered over 10,000 from them since I got my house. They always take care of me, from a bedroom set to a small butcher block. I am pleased with them and I will always give them my business. I highly recommend this store, HIGHLY!!! general manager Omar and his assistant Lilly are there to help you in the best posible way, so I decided to write a review because people satisified dont think about writing any reviews but I know for a fact they are there to help each customer. And like any other place, they lose patience if you are a difficult customer, they will try there best to help each customer but there is always people out there that complain sooo much that Hilife can only help so far. If you are just like me, looking for great furniture, great service, reasonable prices, BEST variety and fast delivery, you need to come to HILIFE!

My girlfriend was excited abou...

My girlfriend was excited about finally renting her own house. She treated herself to a nice bed for the first time, paying three grand for a beautiful frame/headboard, which was supposed to be delivered within thirty days. I was home and accepted the delivery, not knowing which one she had chosen. She arrived home and said, "That's not the bed I ordered."



She called the store, and the manager apologized, saying that several customers had received the wrong bed after ordering the model she actually wanted -- it was apparently the factory's fault. He promised her the correct bed within ninety days. He told her to go ahead and sleep in the wrong one, and that they would just donate it to charity after delivering the correct one. She's not one to complain, so she said that was okay.



THIS WAS IN FEBRUARY of 2011. She still has not received the right bed.



Every time she calls, they tell her it will be another month, two months, or three months. I keep telling her to demand a refund, but she keeps thinking that if she waits a bit longer, she might get the right bed. (She's not as pushy as I am when there's bad customer service).



It's been nine months -- she still has the wrong bed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS TERRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS.

Nothing but excuses. NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered two chairs from this store only because they PROMISED to have them delivered in 3 weeks. I was having company stay at the house and wanted the chairs prior to their arrival.



3 weeks, no chairs and nothing but excuses. You can't get your money back and I will probably not see my furniture for 6 weeks.



They make you pay up front, AND you have to pay 30% of the full price if you want to cancel because they don't live up to their promises. Well Over $1000.00 spent and very unsatisfied.

Shoddy furniture and even shodier customer service

Despite having seemingly good prices and friendly floor staff, the furniture quality is well below subpar and all of the customer service representatives I spoke to were quite rude. I received my couch in a very timely manner but 3 out of the 5 pieces were either wrong or in bad condition. The frame of the couch is made out of particle board and the reclining pieces only recline with great effort. I was told that ALL of my furniture would arrive in 10 days and the other half of my order has still not arrived after nearly a month. Moreover, the manager that I was able to talk to (of course it was after waiting a significant amount of time for them to get back to me) was also rude and didn't seem to care about the legitimate concerns I had with their business practices and products. Overall, I'd rather shop at a place where I'd spend a little more money for products that are backed by the business that sells them and which the 'customer service' representatives care about the people they are suppose to be helping out.

Save yourself the headache…

Hilife furniture has horrific customer service! First, they will lie to you about delivery time to make the sale. Then, when you call about the delivery, their staff is unknowledgeable and unhelpful. When I ask, “when can I expect my furniture?” They literally say “I don’t know, I will call you”. Well, they don’t call you and delivery takes at least three time longer then they say. I tried to cancel my order because of the prolonged delivery date and the “manager” I talked to told me that they do not offer a guarantee and that you are stuck with the furniture you buy even if it doesn’t come. When I received part of my order, the excellent construction of my couch that I was assured was made out of plywood, the reclining function was broken and the leather was completely scratched. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!
