Finally

Bittersweet to see it go. The cracks were showing, the writing was on the wall. Sad because this was a gold mine at it's high point but when the owners were too nosy and selfish and rude condescending morons it was a matter of self destruction. The employees knew how to run the business better than the owners. So sad, pathetic actually.

Happy ESell Auction Customer

I grew up attending various auctions my entire life as my parents and family members are regulars at most of the local auctions. When the doors opened at ESell my family and I attended and instantly loved our new auction house and the entire staff. Week after week we attended the Wednesday night auctions and looked forward to it! We were very sad when the company decided to downsize but as loyal customers to an organization who has been honest and truly cares about their customers we are happy that we are invited to attend their up and coming auctions and look forward to seeing the entire staff again. We feel at home with ESell and their staff so no matter where they choose to hold their auctions we plan on attending and we look forward to ESell opening up their new location in the future! We have always been happy with ESell's merchandise and we look forward to bidding on some great items again this week! Just want to thank you Shannon for forwarding on this review page to me so that I can share my thoughts about your organization publically; even though I tell y'all all the time how great I think you are!! "John Littleton, John Smith, John Severino, John "I DON'T EXISIT IN THE ESELL DATA BASE BECAUSE I AM A COWARD AND DONT WANT TO USE MY REAL NAME"....we caught on to your game many years ago. You forget we are in the internet business and have the support of many IT people who have way since back tracked you. Its funny and I would be embarrassed to show face around any of the Esell team. We all know who you are and we just laugh. #1) You personally have NEVER not been paid by us - SO YOUR REVIEW IS A LIE and if you hear from anyone else its gossip #2) You personally have never purchased fake jewelry or any fine jewelry from us #3) Fake appraisals? You are a joke. Anyone who goes to auctions will know you buy something for what you think it is. If you are not sure, do what the educated and diligent people do in this world: CALL ME and ask questions and take the jewelry to your own jeweler before you purchase. YES we will allow that and have done that many times in the past because our auctions clients are not just friends they are family #4) As far as the HOTEL Black Friday Auction, since we have closed the warehouse WHERE DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD HAVE THE AUCTIONS Genius?? I have been a customer of Esell Auctions since 2008. I have attended their Wednesday night auctions regularly, and I have also been a customer at their high end auctions. I was sad to hear that they were downsizing their weekly auctions to one high-end auction a month. I know that they have a great following of consigners (myself included). I am excited to attend their annual high-end Black Friday auction! I have never been disappointed in their customer service and I will continue to follow this amazing auction house. I have dealt with several other consigners who are customers of this company, and I have never heard any complaints. SHUT DOWN! Didn't pay their consignors, run out of the building! BEWARE

Beware their "Amazing" BS- now they try to run auctions in hotels? Hit and run, never pay the money owed to consignors and sell crappy fake jewelry that has fake appraisals! How could they go from being so cool to being simple thieves and deadbeats? Shame!

I would not do business at all with this company. They sold my things at auction for a ridiculously low price and then after two months had not paid me for them. I put items in their Antique Boutique and none of them sold. They charge you $30 per month per item if you decide to remove your items. Because I did not get my auction check, even after going directly to the auction house and asking for it, I removed my items from the consignment store and refused to pay the fee.

They violated the contract and I was not going to honor mine. They

kept one ring priced at $225.00 and I do not know if I will ever

see it again. If they sell it, I can pretty much guarantee, I won't be paid. Their business is a scam. Do not do business with them.

It took a bit but I was able to find your name was not AG Burns but Deborah Garvin. The incident of you coming into the shop and grabbing your items and leaving was one that my employees remembered. I would like to respond to your concerns 1) the Rio Grande Store and the Auction Service are two completely separate entities so one will not have the information of the other. Its important you know that when trying to get the info you are looking for. 2) Auctions concerns first: you have only ever had two checks sent to you from Esell Auctions - Chk#8681 on 7/12/13 for $58.49 and Chk#8668 on 7/4/13 (mailed on Monday July 8th because of the holiday) for $9.75 - If you did not receive these checks a simple phone call would have solved the problem. I have no record of you calling. We keep a phone log and I have not seen your name in there. Your account is listed under Deborah Garvin - Not AG Burns. If you called under that name, you would have not a got a response from accounting because your account does not exist under that name. 2) At the Consignment Store your items sat for exactly 53 days on the day you came and took them. May I please remind you that you did sign a contract and were fully aware of the terms. The Store is not a storage facility, and unfortunately your items were priced very high out of market value, so you were told they would most likely not sell. At anytime you could have come to pick up your items, but in the manor of grabbing them and running out does not absolve you from the $159.00 that is owed for our time and our consignment services. What we can do to settle the debt is sell the other item you have with us and then take the 35% for the cost of the consignment plus the $159 to cover the cost of the consignment. In the meantime, I am still confused as to whether you have or have not received the above mentioned checks? The warehouse is open Thursday - Saturday 10am - 5pm. I personally am not in the office all day as we run several business in the ABQ area. But if you leave a message I usually get back with everyone within 48 hours. If you let me know I will verify the checks have not cleared and then go about getting a new check re-issued. Please also verify your address as we deal mostly with people moving and downsizing, almost all of the problems we have is with incorrect addresses. I am sorry your experience has ben such, but I have to protect my employees and the words in the contracts. This is why we have them to avoid these issues, but sometimes things just fall thru the cracks. And for that I apologize. Thank You

I wish i could give this company less than a star. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you choose some other company, these are the reasons why: 1. After item sold i was SUPPOSE to have a check within a few weeks. Months went by and nothing. i had to call every week then every day and same BS run around same excuses. 2. was told "They'll call you back" what a crock of BS they never called me back i had to call everyday! 3. Talked to the owner Brandon, and i he told me he'd find out where my check was and call me back the very next day. Two weeks later after calling and calling i finally got ahold of him just to hear more excuses. 4. EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. Guess what? i dont care what issues you're having, i dont care about all your excuses. do what you say. This company sucks. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. I almost never write reviews, but this company is so terrible i felt the need to save anyone else the headace i dwelt with dealing with the clowns.

Hi, It took a bit but we researched every Steven in our system and none of them were the person on this review. I believe (as I have believed for years) that this is a erroneous review like most of them, perpetrated by individuals who do not like our response to their problems. A contract is a contract, and if you don't like what your items sell for then don't send them to auction and sign on the dotted line that you are ok with the outcome, because it only leads to this ridiculous review. I also know this is an untrue review because Brandon has not set foot in the facility since the beginning of July. There is no excuse. If you are owed money you will call and leave a message for accounting (which is not Brandon as he is not here anymore and our employees would not say that he is here)Then someone would verify that your check has been cut, sent and cashed. Then via process of elimination we would know where to begin to solve your problem. Our office hours are Thursday - Saturday as they have been for over 10 years. You are more than welcome to call and we can go from there. Please use your real name as it will be easier to help solve your concern. Thank You

AMAZING that they are still in business (barely I'm sure!)

PLEASE! "Amazing" means one of the owners is writing it- its the only adjective the announcing dark haired lady seems to know each Wed night! "Amazing" estate, "amazing" items... same stuff resold every other week, schillers in the audience schilling their own consigned stuff----and who still goes there!

shill bidders-slow payments to consignors, bad mouthing other houses in town- name it, they do it. "Premier Auction Service in NM" is their motto, but they miss the mark on their delivery. Always "amazing" auctions are announced, and if its good, you will find youself bidding against the stacked hand of the house employed shillers around you!

Wow! Best in the auction business !

This company has been in the auction business for a number of years. I have used just about every service they have to offer and i must they are the best in their industry at what they do. I have rented a uhaul to move my parents back to Albuquerque . Esell then handled selling and moving what ever would not fit in thier new home. Recently they have started to sell some of my guns and other collectables making way for me to create revenue to reivest in my collections as a buyer of their live and internet auctions. I also have recommended them to many of my friends , family and co workers because they the best at what they do !

Long time internet buyer!

I have been doing business with this company going on 9 years . In that time esell went into live auctions and has always done internet auctions. Just recently in the past few months I am now able to bid at home online with their absentee bidding process which makes my auction experience that much better because if i decide to go to live auction i dont even have to bid i can sit back relax and watch the show . Thanks ESELL for taking care of your loyal customers.

Agree with Ego assesment and slide of quality observation

Same thing over and over- bidding from nowhere- we quit going last year- too far to drive into town just to get run up by a system of bidders in the audience on behalf of the house- or the infamous "podium bidder"-- the clerk, tapping the aucitoneer- andthe "odd" number that buys so much stuff, but never pays for it or leaves! Shows up again at this place or around town at their buddy auction houses! Shame!

Blech! "Premier auction house in New Mexico"? Get your ego in check-

I hate hearing the rantings about amazing stuff they are going to sell- then see the mouse dropping covered items from old lady estates! Maybe they think, really believe, the hype they create. The public stays away- now they get people coming in to socialize, or watch their own stuff sell, or bargain hunt! To come back from the brink, these folks and a couple other places in ABQ, need to come back to reality and find some honest business practice!

Shill Bids, lost and broken items, slow pay-legal, maybe; ethical-NOT!

Shill bids- what a way to undermine the auction goer's confidence. Some points of note:1) Mystery bidder in the corner that the older auctioneer points to-- looks like a way to jump off the item at a higher price- I never saw a card raised back there!2) Brigit- she BRAGGED about running the bids up! 3)Other auctions in town- one admitted he takes their stuff after they get stuck buying it back!4) FAKE jewelry! 10k, 12k, sterling- I've been stung too many times with cheap eastern fakes! "Thats what preview is for" does not fix fake!PLEASE get your ethics in check! I used to like going to your place- been staying away since March- you guys look at me in the eye and lie about stuff, make excuses and accusations- give it a rest.
