OMG..... You mean to tell me there were reports ignored at this daycare???????? A child was abused badly at this place by a Spanish woman. There is video of it, which played on The Nancy Grace Show!!!!! Did the owner know of these complaints? If so, the mothers who complained should start a law suit for all the mothers and have this place closed down. This is ridiculous and I would like to know who could stand there and video on a cell phone, of her abusing this child!!! Why didn't the owner have cameras in this daycare? most day cares and any other place dealing with children have cameras in place, these days. If a daycare does no have working cameras, don't walk out of that place, you run as fast as you can!!!!!! Then the owner said she was not worried about the abused baby having head injuries while being abused because the abuser was holding to babies head while torturing it with pain and fear. This angers me so bad!!!!!!!

It was just shut down by cyfd today. If you read all the previous inspection reports, you would never comprehend sending your child here. I previously worked in daycare. Any of the things that happened at this daycare that were REPORTED and not ignored are not ok. Beware where you send your child for most of their day. You want them to be loved and cared for, not ignored and neglected.

This center has free New Mexico Pre K . It is all day program and they have before and after care that is very affordable. My 4 year old went to that program last year and learned so much. My new baby has been there for 6 months. He is thriving and I can tell he is loved by the staff. I could never say enough about how happy that we are with this center.

This is far from the best daycare in Albuquerque. Public information, you can read about how dirty this place is and how incompetent the staff are. They have been accused of mistreating/abusing the children there. These are high school dropouts with piercings, long nails and made up like a street walker taking care of children. Who would want their children to be taken care of here is beyond me.

This is a beautiful facility. The people are wonderful. I am so happy to have found it.

I have sent all my children to Eastern my eldest now sixteen and my youngest now four, if I didn't move states they would still be there. The director and teachers are very friendly and know what they are doing in terms of childcare, I have seen how the teachers interact with the kids its really good, the kids get to learn Spanish as well. First of all you must trust and respect a person that takes care of your child, do not badmouth these people because they help raise your children which is hard as some of our kids come with there own set of problems from home and these teachers have to deal with it. Appreciate what the caregivers do for you in order for you to go to work or whatever u do, some of you badmouth this daycare cant even spend the whole day with your children. its clean I know, they even wash your child's soiled clothes for you. so please think before you post such bad things a place and people who take care of your child. we should be very thankful. Thanks a lot Eastern CDC for taking care of my kids I will forever be great full to all of you.

Eastern Child Development went through rigorous training and scrutiny to become a three star center. They have been a rock in their community for over eight years with a 98 per cent enrollment rate. These are not indicative of some of the reviews that I have read here today. Please take time to drop in unannounced...no appointment necessary and tour this awesome facility today.

I went to do a tour and couldn't believe my eyes. Rang the door bell for at least 3 minutes until someone finally answered. The office staff were completely rude. I asked for a tour because i was interested on enrolling my 4 year old and 1 year old. While i was taking my tour, the babys seemed like they weren't getting watched at all. I seen buggers running down there nose, The staff basically didn't acknolege theme. She was too busy eating her donut and drinking a coffee. I wouldn't reccomend sending your child to this facility.

First off, if you work here this may be the best place for you child. The teachers care for their own children first and foremost. Now if you don't, listen to your child's complaint because they probably not lying about the teachers treating them bad. I have also heard that the daycare doesn't check to see if the transport drivers have a valid driver licenses while they are driving children around (to school and back and on field trips). This is a good question, but who can really ask the director to prove this to the parents without facing retaliation.

My son has been with Eastern since he was 2 months old and my daughter since she was 2 years old. This is a great daycare. They actually teach your children instead of just watching them. The staff is friendly and my son who is 7 now loves it there. My daughter is happy to go to "school" and never cries when I drop her off.

My son has gone to this daycare since he was 6mo old, the staff is very friendly and excellent with my child, who is now three. Yes just like any other daycare there are gonna be times when things are not attended to exactly when they happen, and im sure any parent knows potty training can be difficult in the begaining. I think it is good for the children to interact with animals, plus there is not a dog there on a daily basis. Yes there is cats and everyday for the past three years that i have been taking my son there i have never.. had the smell of urine cross my path. All in all i am more than satisfied with the care eastern development center has provided for my son and i suggest you swing by and take a look for yourselves!!

WELL, I DO HAVE MY 3 KIDS THERE AND MY OLDEST IS 4, AND IS BEING THERE SINCE SHE WAS 6 WEEKS OLD, DAYCARE IS CLEAN AND YES THEY DO HAVE PETS HAMSTERS, FISH, CAT, BUT IT DOESNT SMELL THEY HAVE A JANITOR LADY WHO CLEANS EVERY DAY, TEACHERS ARE FRIENDLY, AND LOVABLE, MY KIDS GET SAD WHEN IS MY DAY OFF AND THEY CAN GO TO DAYCARE, I INVITE YOU TO LOOK FOR YOUR SELF AND DONT BELIEVE IN LIAR PEOPLE.

I went in for a tour of the daycare and the children were running in and out of the building, out of control. I went outside, to the play area, and there was a little girl sitting on the floor crying, while the "teachers" were sitting around, too into their conversation to notice. There was a little boy who peed his pants, teachers failed to notice that as well, that was until I pointed it out. Also, teachers were very unprofessional and unfriendly. Finally, they have a dog running freely around the center. The children were playing with and kissing the dog. This center is DIRTY and it STINKS like dog!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE!!!

Don't take your kids there the teaches don't take care of your babies they leve them in there crib and pop there bottles. The teachers help them self to mcdonald's and Othere food well the kids look at them eating.

I really think the staff is not good because of any number of reasons. Sadly, the facility and its size is waisted on the lack of experienced daycare workers. Some don't even speak english, and the Director of the place seems powerless to change anything.
