be careful when you return library items. they lost mine more than a couple of times. Once i dropped them in the book slot outside the library, and they lost 2 of the books i returned that day. I had to call them, and then they found them on the shelves. Another time, I gave my return items to the circulation desk clerk, and when I got home I checked my library account online, and there was one DVD still not cleared (but was among the one that was returned). I called, and they found it already put away in DVD section. I was glad that i checked right away. And this last time they lost yet again another book that i returned, it could not be found, and now i am responsible for the price of the book as well as the dues that it took them to look and still could not be found. How fair is this???!! When you did the right thing of returning the book on time, and it came around to bite you!!! I have used many other libraries before, whether returning in person or via book slot, this lost business had never happened. Shelter Rock Library NEED TO TRAIN THEIR STAFF BETTER AND STOP CHARGING THE PATRONS WHO PAID FOR THEIR SALARY TO DO THE CARELESS JOB!!!! beware!! always wait for them to physically scan all your returned books before you leave the circulation desk!!!
