My brother took our shipoo here with a groupon for grooming and they cut her eyelid. This place place is horrible and abusive towards dogs as you can see from the other reviews. In my opinion this PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THEY DON'T DESERVE TO BE OPEN AND HAVE NO RIGHT TO NOR ARE THEY CAPABLE ENOUGH TO HANDLE ANYONE'S DOG.

In patronizing American Dog Club you are supporting a puppy mill. No matter how they prettify the paperwork, and insist that they deal with 'reputable' breeders, a retail store that sells puppies at a HUGE markup ($2-3,000) is a mill. Truly reputable breeders will not sell to retail store fronts.



After years of patronizing his grooming business, the owner, Eliot, has been consistently rude to me. In the last five years he has alienated every person who has worked for him. When two of his groomers left, he said to me, "Oh, groomers don't count. They come and go." That's how he treats his staff. And he treats his customers even worse. He is interested in only one thing, and it isn't puppies.



Later I discovered that ADC has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau, no accreditation, and a number of unresolved Better Business Bureau complaints. (http://www.bbb.org/new-y…) .



And watch your money! A can of Blue "Blue's Stew", for instance, costs $3.50 at ADC. Across the street at Unleashed it's $2.89. No discounts on food from American Dog Club.



Even with a receipt, DON'T EVEN THINK about bringing food back, even if it's unopened and you bought it the day before.



A Merrick "Flossie" may say $4.99 on the bin, but it may ring up a dollar or two more at the register. This happened to me more than once. Make sure you look at your receipt.



If you want to get a puppy, please do your homework, and do the responsible thing by buying directly from a breeder. Please do not support puppy mills like American Dog Club.

I bought two puppies from this store. I would never suggest going there. They were not helpful and treated me terribly. The manager there gave me the wrong prices of the dogs and they did not bath the puppies or had them ready for me to pick up. they also gave me wrong information regarding where the dogs came from and how old they were. The front desk puts you on hold for 10 minutes and when you ask to speak to the owner he never returns your calls and they say he is not there .I also got charged for a small dog and one dog is triple the size. they both had kennel cough and they had giardia which is still there after three months and has not gone away. Unfortunately these dogs are not what I expected for almost $3800. they charged me a fortune for dogs and look like a mixed breed of some sort. When I complained they brushed me off the phone and the owner to date has not contacted me.I previously owned and purchased dogs from a breeder and they were tiny and exactly what I paid for. DO Not buy dogs from this store. I won't give my dogs away but I am so disappointed and feel very robbed and have been mistreated by their staff. They do not care about you once you buy from them.
