Dr. Richards graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in 1961. He completed medical school at McGill University in 1965 and his Internship at Hartford Hospital in 1966. Dr. Richards completed his General Surgery Residency in 1967 at Hartford Hospital, and then spent from 1967 to 1969 in military service serving at Fort Ord, CA, Vietnam, and Fort Devins, MA. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at the Campbell Clinic in 1972. His Fellowship was completed in 1973 at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital. The Fellowship was in Spinal Cord Injuries, and the Problem Fracture Service. He was Board Certified in 1974. Dr. Richards is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Ellis and Sunnyview Hospitals in Schenectady,, NY. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor for Albany Medical College, and is a member in the AMA, New York State Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons, Schenectady Medical Society and the Campbell Club.
