Mark,is knowledgeable and polite. So I bought a Z254F , to see how I would like it.
(💘 it) Now I'm going to upgrade to an MZ54 and Jack's is where it's at✌️.

One of the better places to do business! I live about 30 minutes away and could easily go places nearer, but because of the great service I've received, I have zero problems driving a little further.

I purchased a mower from them and drove it a few feet and it Brooke down, they picked it up to fix it, brought it back, it did the same thing. They picked it up,again and supposedly repaired it. Then they brought it to my house without calling me, when I wasn't home and they left it out by the gate, on a busy road where people leave things if they want people to stop and take it for free. My friend rolled it into my property where it still sits to this day, I've never been able to use it.

I took my riding mower to them to get a notch in the deck by the shute repaired. I showed it to them. Also asked them to fix a small oil leak coming from the front gasket and replace a dented spindle bracket/cover under the deck. They called and said it was ready and they charged me $236 for a whole list of repairs. I thought that included the deck hole repair, since this was MY CHIEF COMPLAINT. I drove the mower home on my trailer, mowed my yard and discovered that they HAD NOT REPAIRED THE DECK AT ALL. Instead, they had replaced differen parts and pieces and added a fuel filter, added Startron fuel booster (I never asked for a tune up), and other unauthorized repairs I did not want. BUT FAILED TO REPAIR THE NOTCH HOLE IN THE DECK. Even though when I dropped it off, there was a large piece of cardboard taped to the deck and I explained that as the primary problem. No way you could overlook this problem.



I was very hacked off. I returned the mower the next day and spoke to the Repair shop manager (Mark) . I returned the mower yesterday (45 mile round trip), and politely chewed out the owner, and told him how I could not understand how his staff did not get the part about the deck repair, since I clearly described it to them and showed it to them, and they had to remove a large piece of cardboard covering the notch hole.



He made some dumb excuse about how most folks dont bother to get that repaired anyway, to which I replied that I am getting sand and god knows what all blasted into my face when I mow, which is hazardous. He said he would fix it and deliver it to my address, but I ended up bringnig my trailer and picked it up. They did fix it, (that's the good news), but the weld job is the worst I have ever seen. I have pics to prove it. They did a crappy weld job and did not even paint it so it will rust out quickly. AND THIS IS A RE-DO, so dont expect good work from them for your stuff.



We'll have to take a wire brush to it and then prime it and paint it at a minimum. It's so bad I am tempted to take it elsewhere to get it fixed all over AGAIN.



I later spoke to another fellow today who manages a local hotel and he said he had similar problems with the repair shop at Jacks Small Engine. "I will never again use the repair shop", he said. "The repair shop staff don't give a crap. The manager guy doesn't give a crap either. They dont listen; they're in a big hurry all the time..." He also described a similar repair mishap which happened to him. I will never go here again.
