DC Home Inspection Services is the absolute worst home inspection service in NE Ohio and maybe the entire state. The owner, Chuck Kester, and his son Mike Kester hold themselves out as ASHI certified home inspectors with all of these specific certifications and after a home inspection where they gave our home a clean bill of health, and now over $20,000 in repairs later we come to find out that they didn't have ANY of these certifications. ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) have informed us that the Kester's have not been members in good standing since 2011 and is sending them a cease and desist order from using their logo ... which basically constitutes fraud against the consumer as they are lying about their expertise for profit. They have also been turned into the BBB, FHA/HUD/VA and other organizations they said they are certified for.

Our story is simple, first time home buyer young couple looking to pour our life savings into a home we can start and raise a family in. Our main concern with this home was the roof and the attic since the seller disclosed there was at one time a leak in the roof but it had since been fixed. Mike Kester performed our inspection and stated that our roof appeared to be five years old or less and it was in great condition. When the snow melted it started gushing water in our home. Chuck Kester came out and agreed that the roof was in fine shape and wouldn't accept fault in the home inspection. This charade by him and his son has been kept up for months now with no suitable end in sight. He tried to tell us our roofer was just trying to sell us and we didn't need a new roof. We got a second home inspection from a TRUE ASHI certified home inspector and he said it was one of the worst roof/attics he had ever seen and it needed tarped/replaced immediately When replacing our roof they needed to rip up all the plywood and decking. Shingles were also actively falling off the roof at this time, and also when Chuck Kester came up on the roof (he still said it was frost and the roof was fine).

DC Home Inspection Services are liars, frauds, and con men. DO NOT USE THEM OR TRUST THEM WITH ANY ASPECT OF YOUR HOME!!! Also look out for Chuck Kester's other business "In-Door Air Quality Consultants"

They also do not carry any errors and omissions insurance, which is why they so vehemently deny being incompetent at their job.
