I went to Pets 'n Plants in Aiea. The conditions of the animals kept there were HORRIBLE! The bird's water had algae in it, and the cages were filthy! I can not even begin to explain the health problems that could arise from nasty water and filth, like what I saw there. I told the employee that it needed to be corrected, and he gave me an "I don't care" attitude, and turned away from me. I was OUTRAGED! Also, there was a poor selection of foods available to buy. I was so angry about the condition of the birds, I did not even want to look at the other animals. ....not to mention, the birds were falsely advertised as "rare" and the prices were extremely high. They were not rare, they were normal breeds. I walked straight out of there. If it were up to me, I'd have that place shut down! I will never return to that place to give them my business.
