All I can say is that Skip use to know how to run a business, back about 10 years ago when he had a payroll of 6-8 people. Today it is only him and another person whom comes in drunk most of the time. So I would not suggest that he look at anything, he built a motor for me short-block and heads, I asked that the heads be off the block so that I can put them on with my own ARP bolts.. when I got the block it was not bagged nor the heads, I gladly paid him the balance and took it home, When I got home in preparing the motor for final assembly I wiped it down, and WOW it was dirty, had metal shavings and overall full of crap. A word to the wise, would you walk into a doctors office with blood on the flood, he does not keep a clean final prep area and is totally out of loop when you call to get an update. Pay the price let AES build you a great motor, or Engine Rebuilder's Supply... Like I said he was good back in the day but today is different and I would stay away...

I had an engine built by Skip, and he was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. He made some great suggestion for my project, like building a 383 stroker motor with a roller cam. Everything was done on my budget and time frame. He knew exactly what I was looking for and understood how to get the kind of performance that I wanted. He is that old school type mechanic, don’t bug him every day, just like him get the job done. You will be satisfied with his work. Also he let me store the engine at his location, over the winter until I was ready to pick it up. R&R Engineering are Highly Recommended.

I wish there was a no start rating. That s giving this owner and his company too much credibility.



I met Skip (owner) at a booth he set up at a local swap meet. Seemed like a nice guy. Came to my house to pick up an engine for my 50 year old car that I wanted rebuilt.. Spent some time talking with me about what he would do to it but there were no promises until he took the engine apart. Understood and agreed. Felt pretty good about this.



Almost two weeks went by and he never touched the engine even though he said that it would be done in three. Then when I started talking to him about some specific needs I had that needed to go onto the engine, he argued, basically said it was his way or no way and that if it wasn't done his way, he didn't want to build the motor and would return it.



When asked when he would return it the answer was "When I feel like it". Then hung up. Ill leave the rest of the conversation out but it was VERY one sided. His side.



When you see the name R&R Engine Rebuilders in Addison, Id suggest you find another shop for this type of work. Id recommend that you do not use this shop.

Had a motor built for my ford. Took longer than was told, no big deal. Installed right away. Had a knock to it. Called skip who denied any wrong doing and said he was in my area he would personally stop by to hear the motor. Waited for hours no show. Rear block plugs left out. Freeze plugs leaked like a siv. A lot of details missed. Never heard from skip ever again. He never did anyof my work ever again.

This was the absolute WORST service and company I have ever dealt with. We had an engine rebuild, and called to get info. Skip, was very accomodating, told us he could do the job, told us when it would be done, and gave us a nice quote. We called to see how things were going and Skip was extremely rude, and told us that he said HE would call when it was ready. On the day it was supposed to be ready, we called, and he told us again, he would call us when it was ready, that we were taking him away from his work, and he hung up on us. The following day, we went to the shop. He had not even started on our engine. He began yelling, and became very confrontational! He came around the counter and was shouting profanities and came after my husband, who was holding the engine block. It was unbelievable. We enjoy many boats, atvs, pwcs and have many friends who also enjoy these sports. I will never recommend this company. THE WORST.
