I don't normally write reviews but I just saw the review by N.B. and thought I would submit one. I've been a customer of the Tire Barn for at least 30 years and they have always done an outstanding, fair, and honest job. I've bought new tires, had tires fixed, dealt with warranty issues, and has my snows swapped-out. These people are great and run a nice, clean operation. More like a doctors office than a tire shop.

First off the website link YP provides is another "Tire Barn" business. This review is for the Tire Barn at 581 Great Rd in Acton. There is a reason, you'll never see customers in their parking lot. I made the mistake of purchasing and having installed 4 new tires at the end of May '14, and by July 2, after less than 20 miles of driving with these tires, one of them had deflated over night. I brought the car back in, and the guy behind the scenes "repaired the tire", and had the lady out front show me a 5 inch wood nail claiming that is what caused the leak. I disputed that as a possibility as I'd never run over any debris or wooden board that would have allowed physics to stand a nail like that straight up in the road, and even if that part was possible it is impossible a puncture from a nail that size would cause a leak that would take 12+ hours to deflate the tire completely, and then still allow me to pump air back into it to make the trip back to the Tire Barn.



In the end they would not accept my credit card as payment, they held my car until I came back and paid for the "repair" with cash, as to avoid my inevitable chargeback.



My recommendation to the Tire Barn is that if you are going to attempt to deceive your customers try using a large tack, roofing nails, something that is at least plausible.

The owner of the Tire Barn really knows the strengths and weaknesses of all the model of tires. He is very good at finding the right tire for your needs. He doesn't try to up sell you to expensive name brands. He has a eye for finding high value tires -- great quality at very competitive prices.
