I would advise anyone out there this is the WORST SO CALLED MOVING COMPANY EVER. I HAD THEM MOVE ME FROM CHURCHVILLE, MD. TO NEWPORT VERMONT THEY BROKE OR RUINED ROUGHLY 75% OF MY FURNITURE AND EVEN NOW I'M FINDING OUT THEY STOLED SOME ITEM ALSO. BUT NOW IT'S PAY BACK FOR THEM BECAUSE I EVEN HAVE PEOPLE THAT SEEN A BEUTIFUL DINING SET THE DAY BEFORE THEY TOOK. AND I HAVE PLENTY OF PICTURES TO SHOW THE COURT SINCE THIS LADY WON'T EVEN TELL ME THE NAME OF THERE SO CALLED INSURANCE CO. WHICH I'M STARTED TO DOUGHT THAT FULLY INSURED BULL CRAP... MY LAWYER IS NOW GETTING ALL ME PICS TOGETHER NOW. COMPANY EVEN USES A GUY THAT TOOK 20 MIN JUST TO BACK DOWN A SHORT FLAT DRIVEWAY... B E W A R E THEY ARE CROOKS BUT I CAN'T WAIT WHEN SHE GETS SERVED HER COURT PAPERS.

DON'T USE! After a bad experience with a major moving company last year I decided to give a local company the opportunity to move me. I contacted this business and spoke with Dianne and she gave me a quote over the phone and then sent it in an email quoting me for 3 men and 2 trucks for $100 an hour. I asked her how much was 2 men and 1 truck and she said $75 an hour. I told her that we didn't need 2 trucks so we would do the 2 men and 1 truck. I followed up with her by requesting a visit with them so they could better decide what we needed and she refused and said I didn't need to come by. A few weeks after this I called again to confirm the date they were coming out. She said that she was going to send 3 men and 2 trucks and I told her I didn't think we needed 2 trucks so she said ok which I understood that she would be sending 2 men and 1 truck. The day before the move I called again and she said they were sending 3 men and 1 truck so I assumed it was going to be $75 an hour. On the day of the move they were an hour and half late arriving. Three hours into the move they were already saying that they were not going to be able to get all our stuff in one truck. Well after 5 hours the truck was full and all my heavy furniture was still to be moved (2 sofa's, 2 dining room sets, 2 office desks, numerous boxes, and much more. Well after 10 hours they finally emptied the truck and billed me $100 an hour. I stated that was not what we agreed to especially since they only sent 1 truck and we still had to go back ourselves and make 5 loads with our motorcycle trailer. After looking at my furniture they damaged my new bedroom furniture too!

Our company moved this reviewer on Saturday, August 24th, 2013. When this reviewer originally called and asked for our prices, she was given our standard rates, which were $75 per hour for two men and one truck, or $100 per hour for three men and one truck. She expressed concern that her belongings would not all fit in one truck, so we offered to send a second truck free of charge. She requested an e-mail verification of the price of $100 for three men and two trucks, which we sent on Sunday, July 28, 2013. In the week before the move, we spoke to her on the phone, and she said that after consulting her boyfriend, they had decided that they would only need one truck. When she changed her order from two trucks to one truck, she never indicated to us that she also wanted to change from three men to two men. From the very beginning, she had expressed to us that she wanted three men for the job. There was no reason for her to assume that we would send three men and the truck for $75 an hour, when our rates were clearly explained to her when she first called. After the movers arrived, she called us to make sure the entire move would be done that day, which we confirmed. She did not call again until the truck was fully loaded, telling us that everything did not fit in one load. We told her that the movers would come back for a second load right after the first was unloaded in order to finish the move that day. She rejected this, and asked us not to come back for the second load, telling us that her and her boyfriend would finish it themselves in order to save money. After the movers unloaded the truck at her new house, they asked her again in person if she wanted them to go back and finish the job that day, but she told them not to go back for the second load because she was too tired to finish. We received no complaints on the actual day of the move. It was the next morning that we received an angry phone call. We also received no report of damaged furniture. If we had received a report, we guarantee to repair or replace any damages. In this case, the reviewer was refunded $300 from the credit card company, meaning she either received (1) 3 hours of free services, or (2) the equivalent of 3 movers and a truck for $75 per hour. This is well below the competitive market rate for the area. We regret this misunderstanding, but maintain that it is not due to any fault of ours. Dianne Bauguess Bauguess Moving (410) 676-8021
