I normally use Jeff's to buy used tires but my low profiles are a hard find and they had only one chewed up set for 100.00....WTF !!!
Out of the blue I asked my daughter if there was still a tire place on Jefferson over by Safeway. We were in luck.
Lino had what we were looking for and when learning that I was traveling to Montana next week for a funeral, he made it a point to spend extra time searching through his inventory to find me the best tires available. Lino cared enough to spend the time to tell me how my tires SHOULD have been properly taken care of. He used a wire brush attachment to trim all the old black crust from the under edge of my rims to ensure a proper seal, brushed off the peeling chrome from the inside of my wheel, showed me how one of my rims were a bit out of round and basically educated me on how my past tire replacements have not been up to par.
All this time I have felt that I have been taken care of in the past but now I understand the slow leaks, replacements I have gone through and came to the conclusion that I have now found a new tire man.
When returning home my neighbor, which is a smart mechanical older man came out to look at my tires. His words exactly....."Those tires look dang near new, what did you pay for them"? That was when it was my turn to share with him and his wife how lucky I was to find someone in the tire business that is genuine, hard working, honest and a true blessing to be part of our small part of the world here on the harbor.
