Provided by YPmobileThis hospital overall is horrible. I had knee surgery there and got an infection a few weeks later. I had surgery to irrigate and debride the infection. The dr didn't get it all. Two days later, he removed my drain and within hours I KNEW something was wrong. Nursing staff kept me from having any contact with a dr because it was a weekend. I repeatedly asked to see a dr but was given more drugs that I denied wanting to keep me quiet. I requested to see a dr around 2 pm on Saturday multiple times and was told that they would talk to him- and the result was that he just prescribed more drugs. Staff just kept saying that "this is what the second day of surgery feels like." When I replied this was my 28th surgery and I knew something was wrong, the nurse said she didn't know what else to do and got the charge nurse. The nursing staff locked my bed despite dr orders to allow the foot of my bed to raise. The charge nurse came in, roughly shoved a pillow between my knees. When I told her to remove it, she said "no, it'll settle. Just leave it there." I had to ask more than 3 times to remove it. By that point, my incision was weeping profusely, my entire knee was streaked with red and was hot. I did not get to see a dr until 24 hours after I requested. He said I had to have surgery again. They didn't do the surgery until Monday morning. I ended up having a huge wound cut out of the side of my knee requiring a wound vac. Then when it was time for discharge, my pain was not under control. The nurse stated that they could not give me IV pain killers the day after surgery because they were getting me ready to go home since they don't have any staff on christmas Eve or day. I requested to be transferred to another hospital but was discharged the day after a massive surgery instead. This hospital is guilty of poor care and poor infectious disease control. A friend who had surgery the same day with a different dr also got an infection, but didn't require additional surgery. Whatever you do, DO NOT go to this hospital.
