Today I was sent home while in pain. 9 months ago it was recommended that I have a tooth extracted, and for many reasons I put it off as long as I could. This last week the pain has become almost unbearable, so I made the appointment for the extraction. After waiting two hours, I was told I should have a filling done next to the problematic tooth, and return 1-2 weeks later if there was still pain in the problematic tooth. When this sounded like a terrible idea to me, considering how much pain I am in, I asked if he could extract the tooth where the pain is coming from, considering that's why I was there today. I was told that he could pull the tooth, but on a different day as my appointment today was cutting into lunch breaks. I am disgusted and horrified that a dentist could turn away a patient in need of care to simply squeeze more appointments out of me. If I could take away even the one star, I would.
