The Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center is a division of the adult and career education unit of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It also houses the 62-LEARN public information line. The division is supported by fees and state funds. Its services are provided by professional and paraprofessional personnel. The division provides adult education, immigration services and job training programs for residents of the Los Angeles Unified School District. It provides services at more than 40 locations. The Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center offers assistance with independent living skills and adapted computer education classes, tutoring services, job training and placement services.
