Horrific experience with this company. I had purchased my rental ahead of time, and when I arrived to pick up, I was greeted with huge lines at the rental booth. After waiting for more than an hour, I was offered a "free" upgrade to a nicer vehicle. When I arrived home, I was shocked to find and additional charge from Hertz on my credit card statement. After calling customer service to rectify the issue, I was told that my "free"upgrade was an ADDITIONAL fee on top of the base rate I was already paying, more than DOUBLING the cost of my rental. Hertz offered me nothing and told me that it was my fault that I didn't read the fine print, even though the man at the customer service booth offered it to me for free. Completely screwed by Hertz. I will NEVER rent from this company again, and will be certain to advise others to do the same.
