I had the best sushi rolls ever. I have tried all the Japanese places in Las Cruces and they are OK, but Okazuri is the best. They have a big menu and many items for the non sushi eater and Vegetarians. I recommend this place highly.

We had very good service by our server. The food came out very fast and the orange chicken was wonderful.

The sushi chef was very fun to watch make the sushi. Everything looked very good.

Ask for the Kicker sauce to add to the sushi rolls.
We ate till we were full and had left overs to take home.

After hearing about the new Okazuri experience on TV and Facebook we were curious about the buzz. We tried several different sushi rolls and it was fantastic! This place has made lots of changes and you see it right away. The servers are kind and were attentive to us, even though there was a lot of people eating. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. This place seems to be a really happening place for Japanese food. The last time I was here over a year ago it was not like this. Something happened because it's like a new restaurant.

One of the things I liked about Okazuri is the new menu. I have been to all the other sushi places in Las Cruces, but Okazuri really has a unique style. It seems to be very popular with the locals. Well, I'm a local too and now in love with this place. As I'm writing this review, my mouth is watering remembering what an enjoyable tasty experience we had at Okazuri.

I want to mention that the flavor was really good and I liked the Aggie roll and the new Orange Chicken. We also tried their house sauce, which is called the Kicker Sauce, (75¢) It was so tasty and added to our sushi experience. It's not on the menu, but our waiter told us about it. I guess the regulars know about it. Make sure you ask for it.

If your looking for a good Japanese sushi restaurant in Las Cruces, than this is it. Good service, delicious food, and good selection of beer and wine. 5 stars from me. I can't wait to try more items at Okazuri. Thank you for a great time!!

DO NOT EAT HERE! The "sushi" chef behind the "floating sushi bar" did not use gloves when handling the fish. The whole place reeked of fish. The tempura was not completely fried and had raw batter oozing from the inside. I had a California roll, usually a safe bet, and I was sick almost immediately. My partner had a salmon and eel roll with cream cheese. Both rolls were falling apart and were poorly made. We had to go to the Urgent Care, my partner's food poisoning is so bad.



The service was poor. It seemed like the people from the kitchen were acting as servers as well. When we pointed out the errors with our meal, the server was apathetic. Our "server" wore a hairnet and apron the whole time and was often unavailable when we needed her.



The ambiance was not enjoyable. The dining room music was drowned out by the loud mariachi music being played on a boombox from the kitchen. We didn't want to eat outside on the patio because the chairs and tables were dirty.

sushi here was excellent. The wait staff was great. price was right, It was truly a great experience.
